     Saludos amigos. Luego de una larga ausencia (ocho meses), por motivos laborales, hoy he decidido publicar. Durante ese perÃodo de tiempo he estado bastante ocupado porque comencé a trabajar en una empresa de renombre que exige dedicación exclusiva, profesionalismo y alta calidad laboral; además, he estado supervisando algunas obras de considerable importancia.

     Greetings friends. After a long absence (eight months), for work reasons, today I have decided to publish. During that period of time I have been quite busy because I started working in a reputable company that demands exclusive dedication, professionalism and high quality work; in addition, I have been supervising some works of considerable importance.
     Inicio mis publicaciones del año 2022, informando que me designaron la responsabilidad de supervisar una obra que beneficiará a la comunidad, se trata de la construcción de una acera, paso peatonal que evitará que las personas caminen por la calzada arriesgando su seguridad. La obra en cuestión está ubicada en el Parque Industrial Las Terrazas, Urbanización La Rosa, Guatire, Municipio Zamora del Estado Miranda, República Bolivariana de Venezuela.
     I begin my publications of the year 2022, informing that I was designated the responsibility of supervising a work that will benefit the community, it is the construction of a sidewalk, pedestrian crossing that will prevent people from walking on the roadway risking their safety. The work in question is located in the Las Terrazas Industrial Park, La Rosa Urbanization, Guatire, Zamora Municipality of Miranda State, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
     Acera: zona longitudinal, adyacente a la via (calzada o carretera), ubicada a una cota o nivel mas alto, diseñada y construida para el tránsito de peatones, prohibida para la circulación de vehÃculos.
     Sidewalk: longitudinal area, adjacent to the road (road or highway), located at a higher level or level, designed and built for pedestrian traffic, prohibited for the circulation of vehicles.
     Para la construcción de una Acera es necesario conocer y seguir ciertos parámetros:
- Planificación, diseño y replanteo.
- Limpieza y Excavación del terreno.
- Compactación y Nivelación.
- Aplicación de una capa filtrante y resistente, este proceso conciste en colocar una capa de piedra picada o triturada.
- Compactación de la piedra picada.
     For the construction of a sidewalk it is necessary to know and follow certain parameters:
- Planning, design and rethinking.
- Cleaning and excavation of the land.
- Compaction and Leveling.
- Application of a filtering and resistant layer, this process consists in placing a layer of chopped or crushed stone.
- Compaction of the chopped stone.
     Se tomó la decisión de construir la acera porque no existe paso peatonal en esa zona industrial, solo existe la via para el paso de vehÃculos de carga pesada. Lo que conlleva a que las personas se arriesguen todos los dÃas por pasar caminando por la calzada. La zona es insegura para los habitantes del lugar.
     The decision was made to build the sidewalk because there is no pedestrian crossing in that industrial area, there is only the road for the passage of heavy-duty vehicles. Which leads to people risking every day to walk through the road. The area is unsafe for locals.
     La vÃa de acceso se encuentra ubicada en medio de la zona industrial y un talud. Cada vez que llueve se hace una laguna intransitable por la cantidad de barro que se desprende del cerro, por esa razón, y la razón antes expuesta, era necesario y de gran prioridad realizar esa obra social.
     The access road is located in the middle of the industrial area and a slope. Every time it rains, an impassable lagoon is made by the amount of mud that is released from the hill, for that reason, and the reason explained above, it was necessary and of great priority to carry out this social work.
     Actividades realizadas:
Diseño y elaboración de los moldes de madera para la construcción y encofrado de brocales.
Encofrado de Brocales. 2.44 m a 3.00 m, de manera intercalada o por sección, por todo el trayecto dela acera. Es decir, uno si y uno no, dejado separaciones para las próximos brocales.
Vaciado de concreto en los moldes de brocales.
Encofrado de la acera.
Corte y colocación del emparrillado de acero que conformará la acera. Este permite resistir las flexiones a las que será sometido la acera o elemento vial.
Vaciado de la mezcla de concreto en la secciones de la acera y cepillado de la superficie para crear una capa antiresbalante.
El proceso se repitió una y otra vez hasta lograr la construcción total del elemento vial para el paso peatonal.
     Activities carried out:
Design and elaboration of wooden molds for the construction and formwork of brocades.
Brocales formwork. 2.44 m to 3.00 m, interspersed or by section, along the entire path of the sidewalk. That is, one yes and one no, leaving separations for the next brocades.
Concrete emptying in brocade molds.
Formwork of the sidewalk.
Cutting and placement of the steel grill that will make up the sidewalk. This allows to resist the push-ups to which the sidewalk or road element will be subjected.
Emptying the concrete mixture into the sidewalk sections and brushing the surface to create an anti-slip layer.
The process was repeated again and again until the total construction of the road element for the pedestrian crossing was achieved.
     Las maquinarias, equipos y herramientas utilizadas para esta obra pública, fueron:
     Palas, picos, barras de acero, carretillas, herramientas de albañil, herramientas menores de carpintero, herramientas menores de cabilleros, cortadoras de barras de acero y cierra de mesa. Entre las maquinarias nos encontramos con las compactadora de rodillo, mini jumbo, pailoader (cargador frontal) y el camión trompo (mezclador de concreto).
     The machinery, equipment and tools used for this public work were:
     Shovels, picks, steel bars, wheelbarrows, mason's tools, minor carpenter's tools, smaller cabilleros tools, steel bar cutters and table closures. Among the machinery we find the roller compactor, mini jumbo, pailoader (front loader) and the trompo truck (concrete mixer).
     Materiales utilizados: Cemento, arena lavada, piedra picada, agua, barras de acero de 1/2 pulgadas, tiza para cabilleros, alambre, clavos de acero de 2 pulgadas y clavos dulce de 2.5 pulgada.
     Materials used: Cement, washed sand, chopped stone, water, 1/2-inch steel bars, chalk for cabilleros, wire, 2-inch steel nails and 2.5-inch sweet nails.
     Secciones de la acera y los brocales (borde de acera).
     La acera: diseñada con una sección transversal rectangular de 0.90 m x 0.30 m. cada sección tiene una Longitud de 2.44 m.
     Brocales (borde de la acera), sección transversal en forma de "L": base mayor 0.50 m, base menor 0.16 m, altura mayor 0.30 m, altura menor 0.15 m. Longitud por sección: 2.44 m.
     Measurement of sidewalk sections and brocades.
     The sidewalk: designed with a rectangular cross section of 0.90 m x 0.30 m. each section has a length of 2.44 m.
     Brocales (edge of the sidewalk), cross section in the form of "L": major base 0.50 m, minor base 0.16 m, greater height 0.30 m, minor height 0.15 m. Length per section: 2.44 m.
     La obra fue ejecutada en su totalidad en tan solo una semana, gracias a que no fue necesario mandar a traer el camión mezclador de concreto, esto solo fue posible porque la empresa encargada de la obra, cuenta con su propia fábrica de concreto, una vez que la mezcla es elaborada, la cargan en sus propios camiones mezcladores de concreto, tanto la empresa como los camiones se encuentran en la misma zona industria donde se llevó acabo la obra, permitiendo de esta forma reducir significativamente el tiempo de ejecución.
     The work was executed in its entirety in just one week, thanks to the fact that it was not necessary to send to bring the concrete mixing truck, this was only possible because the company in charge of the work, has its own concrete factory, once the mixture is elaborated, they load it into their own concrete mixer trucks, both the company and the trucks are located in the same industrial area where the work was carried out, thus allowing to significantly reduce the execution time.
     A continuación, les dejo la memoria fotográfica del trabajo realizado. Debo informar, que la comunidad que transita esta ruta, está contenta por la obra realizada, permitiendo que sea más seguro el caminar por esta vÃa.

That’s a large project and needs a lot of precise planning and execution.
Nicely done…I haven’t seen building and road works in a long time. I studied buildings engineering and was a draftsman (woman) for years.
So it was really nice to see/follow this project.
