So, from February to March I was traveling all over the island of Java, starting from Bandung, Jogjakarta, Malang, and now I am in the city of Jakarta. There are several more cities that I will visit such as Surabaya, Kediri, and several other cities. I've been planning this vacation trip since 2020. I started saving money little by little and now my dream has come true.
In this content I will show how luxurious this city is. You can see there are many large buildings with very beautiful city lighting and can make the heart calm and happy. This is just my personal opinion.
Jakarta-Indonesian city architecture.
Before speaking further, I want to tell you a little story about the city of Jakarta.
Jakarta or the Special Capital Region of Jakarta is the nation's capital and the largest city in Indonesia. Jakarta is the only city in Indonesia that has a provincial-level status. Jakarta is located on the northwest coast of Java Island. In the past, it was known by several names including Sunda Kelapa, Jayakarta, and Batavia. Jakarta also has the nickname The Big Durian because it is considered a city comparable to New York City (Big Apple) in Indonesia.
Jakarta has an area of about 664.01 km² (ocean: 6,977.5 km²), with a population of 10,562,088 people (2020). The Jakarta metropolitan area (Jabodetabek) has a population of about 28 million people.
As the center of business, politics, and culture, Jakarta is home to the headquarters of state-owned enterprises, private companies, and foreign companies. The city is also the seat of government institutions and the ASEAN secretariat office. Jakarta is served by two airports, namely Soekarno–Hatta Airport and Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, as well as three seaports in Tanjung Priok, Sunda Kelapa and Ancol.
This is my first time seeing the real city of Jakarta. Usually I can only see the beauty of this city only through TV. I think this city is extraordinary. As I feel. This city is almost the same as cities in Japan. Do you agree?
First, Gelora Bung Karno Stop is a Transjakarta bus stop located on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Gelora, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta. The bus stop which is located in Corridor 1 which stretches from north to south is named after the Gelora Bung Karno sports center which is located not far from the bus stop. This is a photo that I took around the Gelora Bung Karno bus stop.
Second, The Selamat Datang Monument is a monument located in the middle of the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout, Jakarta, Indonesia. This monument is in the form of a statue of a pair of humans holding flowers and waving their hands. The statue faces north which means they welcome people who come from the direction of the National Monument.
If you see the statue waving its hands, that's what we call a monument that welcomes people who come from outside the city of Jakarta.
In Indonesia, there are also online motorcycle taxis that you can order through special applications such as Gojek and Grab. You can ask them to take you to your destination and you can even ask them to buy food. and the important thing is it's not free, hehehe :D
If you see a motorcyclist wearing a green jacket. they are all members of online motorcycle taxis. Look at the image below.
Lastly, this is Monas.
The National Monument or Tugu Monas is a 132 meter (433 ft) high memorial monument which was erected to commemorate the resistance and struggle of the Indonesian people to seize independence from the colonial rule of the Dutch East Indies. The construction of this monument began on August 17, 1961 under the orders of president Soekarno and opened to the public on July 12, 1975. The monument is crowned with flames covered with gold sheets which symbolizes the flaming fighting spirit of the Indonesian people. The National Monument is located right in the middle of Medan Merdeka Square, Central Jakarta.

Hi @aplusd actually I read all the articles about the city of Jakarta, then I summarized it, because I am not a native Jakarta resident, I just visited and had a vacation, that's the reason I had to find out about this city. I did not immediately copy and paste, I summarized it into one core after reading it first, according to what I remembered after I read it. I accept if this is not allowed. I'm just a new user, may I ask for advice so I don't repeat the same mistake?
I don't intend to make this mistake, I'm just trying to find another way, I want to be better in this hive.
