RE: Inside the Home of an Expat

I love the minimalist decor of the house. It is so full of character and charm. The exposed beams are the focal point for me.
Nice office areas, and throughout the house I like the use of small tiles. The Skylight windows in the bathroom and bedroom are awesome too.

there is only one "Big garbage Day" per year in our small town

I think you made the right decision to switch to your sleeping beds.

Bizarre bathroom setup, indeed, but I love the fact that you utilized such a lovely old house in a way that there was one entire room as a "Cat's WC" 😂

Charming house...I'd live there in a heartbeat :)))

PS. I totally understand what you mean about the privacy of the walls. I discovered how useful that can be for privacy while living in the Philippines. Now, as I plan my trip back to Jamaica, I'm sorry that we didn't think of building walls around my parents house. I have horrible nosey neighbours there 😟

Yeah I like the character of the place. It did have many drawbacks as well that i forgot to mention. It is an old house with old windows so it's drafty and freezing cold in the winter. We managed though. Every house has pros and cons to it but I think we will mostly remember the pros in the end.

Good luck in your move to Jamaica 🇯🇲 👍
