in Architecture+Design3 years ago (edited)
Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you're okay. last week, I did a short vacation to the thousand islands. In this article, I want to tell you about Kelor Island, one of the islands that I visited. On the island there is a very famous fort. This building, has been slightly eroded by water. The name of the Fort is Fort Martello. In the fort area there are still preserved cannons.

Stay awesome!Thank you for your always so interesting content, dear @nnurdiani 😃

Amazing! What an interesting piece of historic architecture dear @nnurdiani. Fort Martello has certainly left a significant legacy of being one of the military guardians of the thousand islands before entering Indonesia. Despite its deteriorating condition, you can still witness strong evidence of its original construction methods and how it was spatially planned during its prime. 😊

You've mentioned some preserved cannons in your post intro. Were you able to take photos of these battle gear during your travel there? Would be curious to see what they might have looked like. 😁

Oh, amazing @nnurdiani! Quite rusted cannons but still, they are important architectural hallmarks of that site. Thank you for showing this memorable photo! 😊
