Hii architecture+design, hope you guys are doing well. Oh yes, last month, my friends and I went out of town for a vacation and of course it was a short vacation. After two days there, I was finally able to meet up with my friends who live in that city. My friends and I hadn't had dinner yet. Finally we decided to have dinner together.
Since I wasn't a native, I didn't know much about good restaurants there. And finally one of my friends recommended a Japanese restaurant. It just so happened that the restaurant had been on my friend's social media post, and I commented on the post. Because I thought the restaurant was good. Ah, it was a ramen restaurant, Japanese noodles.
From a distance we could already see the restaurant. because there was a tall tower with Japanese writing and equipped with lights. And because this place is quite viral and famous we had to wait list first. fortunately not long.
From the entrance, we were greeted by Japanese ornaments. there is Noren or cloth curtains with black and white images typical of Japan, there is also a bicycle displayed there, the bicycle reminds me a little of my grandfather's bike. on the poles there are masks, as well as Koinobori or fish hangers hanging also on the poles. and of course beautiful lanterns. besides that, Yabe! Izakaya built this place almost all using wood. in order to add a thick Japanese flavor.
In addition to the open sky dining area, there are also small rooms that are partitioned off only by wooden walls. and can be for four people in each room. and inside the room is plastered with stickers and pictures made by them. it really feels like you are eating in Japan. Surprisingly, even though it was crowded, it didn't feel hot here, the air was getting cooler and we could enjoy it comfortably.
on the right side, there is a kitchen that is designed with a pantry type, but visitors can enjoy the cooking process of the chefs because their kitchen has an open kitchen theme. in front of the kitchen, there is a small long table and seats for visitors. the same as the other visitor areas. around the kitchen there are also many stickers and lanterns.
For the center area, the tables and chairs they provide are just ordinary wooden tables in the shape of a box, nothing special about it.
Overall, Yabe! Izakaya has a good design. You can't go wrong, but the food is a bit lacking in my opinion, plus the prices are decent. Maybe it pays off for the place, along with the friendly and good service.

Japanese architecture never fails to fascinate me. Despite its decent size, this restaurant oozes with its distinctive character - transporting us on a cultural journey of food and design.
