This article focuses on basic use of materials that are vernacular/sustainable with respect to maximum attainable aesthetics for an overall effect and sense of purpose.
Interior spaces directly affect your health. So choice of materials should done with some very important aspects kept in mind.
Use of raw materials with the basic nature of adding no finishes is helpful as it doesnt emit harmful gases (VOCs) and is easier to install and durable with lesser costs of maintainence is achieved.
Bare Polished Concrete Panels used in walls add up to the durability lower maintainence and the overall look of an interior space.
It also cuts down the cost of paint and regular finishing of material.
Furnitures shall be made out of natural timber with minimal use of finishing materials like polish, melamine and other volatile emmitable contents.
Adding up of Greenery in interior spaces helps absorb the harmful gases and also adds up to the aesthetics and breathability in space.
It also creates certain aura which helps in keeping the balance of biotic elements in a space.
These are the basic points that can be kept in mind while designing an interior space without compromising your design elements and making the design more sustainable.
