A few weeks ago I was touring the Hyper Jumbo mall and I introduced you to an aesthetic business that is dedicated only to facial areas, but I did not review the entire mall and that is what I want to do in this post.
This mall is strategically located between two other major shopping centers in the city, just a few blocks away and close to urbanisms and main roads. It has several decades of construction, but it is not that old. My first memories enjoying this space are about 20 years ago, when I went to the movies with a couple of friends, today one of them is no longer with us 🥲.
Currently, there are some businesses such as the blúmer palace and shoe stores that are maintained since its inauguration, also a supermarket with restaurant and cafeteria, others are new. The hyper jumbo has 3 entrances/exits each one in an avenue, since its extension is large and is surrounded by gardens and the main parking lot. Its name is in several points, I like it, it is made on the grass with construction stones and cement, all in relief.
When it was inaugurated, it called the attention of the public that it was completely air-conditioned, it was the first to do so and maintain a cool environment in the city that has a temperature of about 32 degrees of heat almost all year round, it was a pioneer in that, then others imitated it. With wide corridors in granite with different colors and shades that reflect the ceiling lights that are on early in the morning without disturbing visitors.
One of the things that keeps this mall alive despite the economic crisis is its constant change and updating of businesses, as well as recreational activities. That day I found in the area where a restaurant used to be, walls made of board acting as a cover for something that is in the process of being remodeled, with scratches and messages that seem to be vandalized, but the messages were not of hate, but of love and calling people's curiosity, for example: Do you want to see what is inside, what do you imagine there is here?
In addition to updating the premises, they do many events that invite the public to come, the day I went there was a pet parade and an inauguration of a clothing business, but there are also many empty premises available for rent, years ago they were all full and I remember a huge toy store where I came to buy the gift of Baby Jesus to my brother that business no longer exists.
Architecturally, it has several areas of interest, the first is in the central hallway that has a roof like a quarter of a sphere that covers both the first floor and the second floor, with transparent and bluish colored glass that allows the light to pass through and at the end some have a stained glass design that makes it more pleasant.
This hallway was also remodeled recently and now there are some furniture that I like for several reasons, they are a minimalist style with nature included, they are made of wood and elements that resemble metal, oval shaped chairs and circular tables, from below it looks beautiful and when you go up to the second floor, the experience is better, with a full view that satisfies the eye.
On the second floor, there are more businesses, there is the food fair, movie theaters that I am surprised that they still work, as they are always empty, game rooms with a unique space design also if you doubt it, look at the ceiling and observe, tell me what you found. 😆. Their bathrooms are impeccable and large, here you don't have to queue to enter.
Being upstairs with a more observant eye, I noticed that wherever I walked there was music. Throughout the mall there are small, almost invisible horns and the music is relaxing jazz music. It has two elevators and two escalators, as well as normal stairs and others with inclines.
On the way out, I took the opportunity to look up in the elevators and I liked how the dome looks, at the other end, at the second entrance and exit, I noticed that there was an amusement park, something that did not exist before. On the outside you can see a shopping mall with white block walls and blue glass, taking a picture with the whole panorama is difficult, I tried to do it with the panoramic option, but I did not manage to appreciate the space and make it look nice.
It is a cozy mall that invites you to stay all day, safe and central, a place for the whole family and I think they have many more years to remain a reference point in the city of Maracay, Venezuela. I hope you liked this tour of this mall, see you in a future post.
I'm amazed by this mall's name, and Hyper Jumbo sounds like a suitable brand to describe the modern grandness of this commercial paradise. I'm specifically impressed by the spacious atrium holding the light wooden seating platforms that double as creative plantboxes. It's like a small park where shoppers can reconnect with nature while malling. Incredible! ☺️
Thanks for Elevating Architecture and Design with Hive!
Every once in a while they change the furniture, it is like changing the furniture in a house, so to speak, it always surprises their customers.
I like that space very much, it is an internal park and it is not small as you might think, it is big! When you sit there you feel free even though you are under a roof but it is very high.
Thank you very much @storiesoferne 😊 to you for your beautiful comment and for creating this space, for architecture and design lovers.

@soyunasantacruz Hello, very beautiful your photos.
😉😊🥰
Love at first sight! It's truly impressive to see how the mall's interior spaces are well illuminated due to the installation of an enormous skylight. This architectural feature plus other outstanding design elements add to the enjoyable shopping adventure. ☺️

I'm glad you appreciated those details, I actually showed half of what this mall has, there used to be a very luxurious casino, it has really beautiful clothing spaces, it would be a very long post with a lot of pictures, but I'm glad you liked it. Thank you!
