RE: Old Buildings, New Urban Life in Valencia

in Architecture+Designyesterday

Indeed, there's no place like home @duvinca. The rich tapestry of old and new developments in the Spanish city of Valencia is a strong sign of its incredibly diverse cultural and historical heritage. Although modern buildings face-lift an urban center's appearance to international standards, ancient landmarks are the valuable backbones to its humble origins. Both old and new architecture don't exist to compete but rather complement each other as a holistic partnership. Grateful for your amazing city exploration! ☺️

Yes I believe that a smart complementation is a key for creating better urban environments, the historical roots are present and mixed with the modern needs and functionalities, all for us, citizens can enjoy and use all these buildings around us, that is really a smart city.
