RE: Okuta,An Interesting Mountain Themed Cafe In A Mountain

in Architecture+Design2 years ago

If the word “glamping” become popular in the past few years, maybe the word i can use to express the feeling when we’re inside of Okuta are “glamrest” aka glamour forest.

Hello @firayumni. I'm simply struck by your statement above. Not only is your wordplay creative, but it surely tickled me for a while, lol 😁 However, I think you're spot on with your architectural description of Okuta. a glamorous forest! See, I'm always attracted to peculiar designs, especially if they are nature-inspired. And your featured landmark is definitely a head-turner. Plus you get to enjoy the breathtaking panoramas of the mountains aside from sipping your favorite brew. 😊👍

I got a question about those brownish tree trunks or pillars (that look like delicious chicken thighs, haha). Do you have any idea of the type of material used in their construction? Are they made of painted concrete or something like a special mesh with outer layered textures? Just curious.

Hello… yes i an very happy that lately many places bring out the elegance and thoughtful design even if its in the mountain. Its something that hard to find in the past, or even if there is the price will be unreachable…

Like you, i was curious about the pillars too so i make sure to touch them the moment u came inside, its made of concrete and they’re painting it brown

Wonderful @firayumni. Right, I had the feeling that those pillars were indeed made of concrete but painted brown to achieve an organic effect. If so, those structural elements must be extremely heavy and required intricate labor! Nevertheless, the final results are truly amazing! Thank you for featuring this extraordinary work of architecture! 😊
