RE: Visit to the Metropolitan Cathedral Church

in Architecture+Design2 years ago

Wow! This church definitely holds a striking appearance and portrays a monumentally inspired facade due to its neoclassical architecture, as seen in prestigious government buildings like the US Capitol. Plus being called the Metropolitan Cathedral is quite a suitable name for its imposing design character. 👍☺️

You're right, that cross inside the pediment on the upper part looks different and stirs curiosity. Do you happen to know its meaning @virgilio07?

Hello, I stopped by the church to learn about the meaning of the cross and the priest told me that this is specifically because there is a metropolitan archbishop there, that is, a person who manages other churches in the locality and the region.

The ecclesiastical authorities already know from the symbolism of the cross that the metropolitan archbishop is located here.

Greetings

Okay I see. That cross was simply peculiar, thus I asked for more info about it. Thank you for educating us on this interesting update @virgilio07. 😊

Hello friend @storiesoferne , that church is a work of art, in the city is one of the most important and is located in the historic center near the castle San Antonio de la Eminencia. It is certainly very imposing. I do not know the meaning of that peculiar cross, but having the information of the guide of the place I will let you know.

Greetings, thank you very much for your support, may God bless you with abundant health, peace and prosperity of the soul.

A fraternal embrace.
Blessings!

That's alright. Perhaps we can discover its symbolic significance sooner or later. And yes, the church guide would be a reliable source. Blessings @virgilio07! 😊
