Spot Attraction Batik Kauman Village with its old-fashioned design

Hello, architecture and design lovers... Still journalling about my solo trip this December. This time, I would like to invite my friends to a Batik Kauman tourism village located in Kauman, Pasar Kliwon, Solo.

We should all have heard about the cultural heritage in the form of batiik which is the identity of the Indonesian state. Therefore, Kauman Batik Village Tourism also attracts many tourists, both local residents, and residents from outside the city. What's interesting about this tourist village is that the buildings of the batik shops in this area are designed with an antique and ancient atmosphere. So, while walking down alley after alley in the batik village, visitors feel transported to the past.

I deliberately went to the batik village early in the morning, because my agenda today was quite busy. Also, the distance from my lodging is less than one kilometre. So, while getting some fresh air, I walked leisurely.

From the alley at the front, a sign reading Kauman Kampung Wisataa Batik is made of wrought iron painted green.

Just entering for a moment, visitors are immediately treated to a view of houses and shops that make us nostalgic. The windows and doors are faded green with very traditional ventilation holes. The faded brown walls graded with pale yellow also add to the old impression.

Meanwhile, in front of it, there is also a shop with more bold green shutters. None of the shops I passed were open yet. Indeed, they only get busy towards the middle of the day. But that's okay, at least I can show you the old-fashioned designs of the shops along Kauman Wisata Kampung Batik.

Moving forward a few steps, I came across a shop called Sera Iswara, which had a flat front facade with three pairs of dark brown doors. With a tiled floor and pale blue walls, it gives the shop an old-fashioned feel.

Meanwhile, in front of this shop is another shop bearing the name K.H Ngabdoel Kamid Kauman, painted in brick red with a door lined with a faded white trellis.

On the next street, ornaments made from paper umbrellas are hung above in various colours. Along the strings, flowers are layered to give the street a pretty feel.

I was going to explore one more alley, but it turned out that there was some repair work going on, so you decided to go to the street outside. Heading out the door, there is something very interesting about Batik Domas. He decorated the walls of the area around Batik Domas with various batik collections displayed in small frames. So all the way to the outside of the area, I could enjoy the various batik motifs by them.

The atmosphere here is very pleasant. Once satisfied, I left the area with a mural depicting the morals of Kauman batik village. That's all my travels to find interesting places during my solo trip. Thank you for listening. See you!

totally agree. I also seem to have a penchant for things from the past: history, antiques, ancient relics, etc. They seem to have a magnet that can draw me closer to them. Thanks for the appreciation.
