Let's take a look at the architectural design of the Istiqomah Mosque in Langsa City, Aceh.

Hello HIVe friends, I am still in Langsa City and I will still give an overview of how mosque buildings are designed differently in Langsa City. And now I will show the design of the Istiqomah Mosque in Langsa City. One of the small mosques in a narrow alley in a densely populated settlement in the city. And when entering the alley, it will only be enough for one small motorbike and one private car to pass through and if there is a truck or bus going there, the answer is no, so please park in front of the alley or look for another mosque. And along the alley into the mosque I can see a tamarind tree that is starting to bear fruit.

When looking at the mosque for the first time. I saw that the initial building of this mosque was very short which means that this mosque is old. However, looking at the whole of some corners of the mosque and the materials they use are no longer uniform, I can conclude that this building has undergone many repairs in various corners. However, even so, the simple combination of paint colors created makes this mosque like the impression of an innocent village girl who doesn't use too much makeup to attract attention. You can see for yourself that the paint used in this mosque building only uses a dominant white color and in each frame of the mosque's curves is given orange paint.

Then in the front of the mosque above the roof there is a mosque crown that has a design like a fortress with rectangular pillars. The crown of the mosque is actually very simple with only carved lines, but the play of colors and the placement of the lines form an abstract design that when viewed like the shape of a traditional mat that I have at home. The colors used are also still the same, namely white and orange and a little courage to bring out the color green in the other list so that the color of this mosque looks a little alive and the old impression of this mosque is slightly disguised.

And if other mosques have used modern pillars, this mosque still maintains pillars with a classic design, namely pillars that are still very short, then on the walls of the mosque there are also supports that are made to beautify the mosque using brown ceramics. In addition to beautifying, of course, these pillars are also useful for strengthening the foundation of the mosque. and under the pillars are given a frame like flower petals that are given a golden color while on the side it is given an orange color and I see here the goal is like just wanting to play with color to make it look much more beautiful

The use of ceramics is also still ordinary ceramics with a size of 50 x 50 cm and the ceiling uses plain white PVC both from inside and outside the mosque itself. And for the imam's place itself, I see here something special because it is slightly given carvings in the form of flowers and then there is a play of colors, namely brown, white and green there so that it looks much more alive. Then I saw that to save on paint costs, they used ceramics with a size of 40 x 40 cm in white so that the walls are much more alive and of course will save on paint costs so that it is much more luxurious.

Although this mosque looks old, we can see the combination of colors used, then the use of decorative lamp designs and a few knick-knacks that make this mosque fresher again so that it looks much younger than its age so that I see this mosque does not look old. And this is the design of the Istiqomah mosque that I present to you. Greetings from tomidiwirja, Indonesia
