I'm coming back and don't get bored of visiting my blog, friends. This time I will invite my friends to take a walk to the famous city park in Langsa City. This park is right in the center of Langsa City and around the park there are many government buildings and shopping centers so that during the day during break or lunch time until evening this park is never empty of visitors and I also experienced that. So the next day I looked for an hour that wasn't busy and I found it in the morning around 10.00 to 11.00 am where all the employees and government officials were busy working and many people had finished their morning exercise.
And my choice was right and look, this park looks quiet so I was free to take photos here without fear of disturbing the privacy of many people while resting. This park is not very large but is enough to make many people comfortable. In the middle of the park there is a sharpened bamboo monument as a symbol of the struggle of the Indonesian people against Dutch colonialism at that time. The monument was made using cement shaped like bamboo and painted using green and dark green to slightly resemble the original color. Then the bamboo monument is surrounded by a black ceramic frame so that the bamboo monument appears to stand firmly in the middle of the existing garden.
Along the inner boundary fence they did not leave the boundary wall just a blank wall so they made 2 types of walls. The first is a wall that was built to resemble a cave wall and below it there is a small pool for ornamental fish, but unfortunately the pond is still drained and there are no ornamental fish yet. The walls that resemble a cave are made as similar as possible to the original and usually many children take photos on this wall.
And the other wall is an ordinary wall, but on these walls there are carvings or reliefs that tell the stories of the struggles of national heroes and civil society fighting together against Dutch colonialism in Langsa City. Apart from that, this wall also depicts various kinds of culture, both in terms of buildings and culinary and the customs of the people of Aceh. Everything is clearly visible there with the brownish gold paint.
Not only that, in the park there are also many circular seating areas, and around the benches there are many well-maintained ornamental plants. Apart from being a view, this plant is also designed as a shelter for employees who rest there. Then around the park there are also many large tree gardens. And don't forget about the existence of trash cans around the park so that visitors are more disciplined in cleanliness.
Oh yes, in the corner of the park there is a green building which functions as a public toilet. And this toilet is very well maintained and clean so it doesn't smell. And above the toilet it functions as a seat or multi-purpose place for reading. In my opinion, this city park design which is not too large is not out of style and is not just a city display but functions well. For visitors who bring children here, it is not only a place to play but also as a place to learn history directly from the interesting pictures on the walls. And the design of this park is also very comfortable, very suitable for the needs of the residents here. Greetings from Tomi Diwirja, Indonesia
