The Concept of Kafe in The National Library

Nowadays, Coffee Shops are everywhere, including in tourist destinations. In addition, now Coffee Shop businessmen also open outlets in public places labeled National, such as this Coffee Shop located in the corner of the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia.

_{A Small and Simple Coffee Shop}

This Coffee Shop is named Kafe, which is Caffe in English. The cafe is located in the corner of the National Library lobby and close to the exit. This cafe has a minimalist area, even so you will still recognize this is a Cafe Shop through the entrance of this cafe.

This cafe has a high ceiling so that this cafe can add an additional floor in the corner of the building. The first floor is the floor provided for visitors. Uniquely, almost all customer seats are placed in the corner of the room. There is only one seat in the middle, it can be used by 4 visitors. In fact, in this middle part it is enough if you want to put 2 tables with 4 more capacities. This was not done perhaps to make the lower space look spacious and make it easier for customers to pass between their tables to the cashier.

All furniture is made of wood in the same color, wood brown. Near the cashier there is also a visitor bench that also provides a recharging socket. From this area you can see the activities outside the cafe through the glass wall.

I sat on the side near the door because there was a book in the corner. I was very surprised because there was my favorite children's magazine there, Bobo. While enjoying my food, I opened the damaged page (but still readable).

Let me show you the additional floor that really caught my attention when I stepped into the cafe. From below, it can be seen that the layout of the room is very comfortable where there are several beanie bags.

To reach this additional floor you have to climb this wooden staircase, but you have to take off your shoes and socks because this additional floor is a sterile floor.

They use the green carpet for the floor. Several short tables and beanie bags are provided to sit more relaxed. In addition to relaxing, this additional floor can also be used as a place of worship.

There is also a bookshelf that provides poetry books and old novels. The bookshelf is very unique because it is shaped like a tree.

In the outdoor area, it has different furniture. The tables are made of wood while the chairs are made of plastic and white. Although different from the furniture in the indoor area, overall the furniture has a minimalist concept.
