The Concept of Snail Tent Luxcamp, Pengalengan - West Java

edited by canva

Hi Architecture+Design fellows..

Setting goals is one of the reasons why we go on vacation. In the midst of busy work, I and two of my colleagues planned a trip to then do a staycation. One of my friends recommended a staycation in the middle of nature, namely the Pengalengan area. After reviewing, we agreed to choose Luxcamp by Horison and chose the Snail tent type. That's actually a suitable room type for a honeymoon, because it is in a fairly quiet area, hahaha

Let me show you what the concept of the Sanil room from Luxcamp is like.

The Snail Tent
Luxcamp by Horison, Pengalengan

Our snail tent is on the edge of the river, it is a very natural place, quiet (except for the sound of the gurgling water which is calming), and cold. However, the air when we went there was not as cold as I imagined. I prepared a thick jacket to sleep in, but in the end I didn't use it because I was enough with just a blanket.

And this is our snail tent. I don't know the exact size of this snail tent, but what is clear is that this snail tent has a low ceiling, shaped like a snail (of course) that extends to the back. At the front, there is a wooden terrace where we can enjoy nature on the side of the river. The Unique this snail tent has a door made of glass. The concept of the door is sliding, like Japanese doors.

The bed in Snail Tent has a queen bedroom type without a bed frame. Uniquely, on the headboard they function as a light switch, so you don't need to get out of bed to turn the lights on or off. Although this bed looks thin, it is still comfortable to sleep on.

In addition to the bed that has pillows and bolsters, Snail Tent also provides a sofa. This sofa has an ethnic cover. Not only does it function as a sofa, but it can also be used as an extra bed. The three of us were not enough in one main bed, so one of us slept on the sofa that functioned as a bed.

For a compliment, Luxcamp provides a bottle of refillable mineral water. The refill is located behind the tent. There are no more compliments like in other hotels such as coffee because Snail Tent already includes breakfast so you can order coffee or anything at dinner or during breakfast.

Let's look at the toilet. This toilet section is an additional building with bamboo walls. There is a sink and shower.

They also provide soap, shampoo, dental kit, and also towel. The tube of Luxcamp soap and shampoo is very unique.

And this is the place to refill mineral water. Placed behind the Snail Tent, but a special place is made. It is also located between Snail Tent 1 and the others. This means that every two tents have the same refill. However, the placement is a bit creepy at night and we have to refill the bottles.

And this is the backyard of Luxcamp. I really like the concept of Luxcamp, both in terms of tents and their layout which is a bit far apart, so that between one snail tent and another is not disturbed. The vibe will be really quiet and comfortable.

What do you think?

Vivie Hardika

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.

I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of them are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.

The bed looks comfy, that's all one needs while they visit. I wouldn't mind staying there and the view 👌

Yeah you should have this experience...

It is my first time to see that kind of tent, @viviehardika and the bed inside of it looks comfortable to sleep in. 😊
