Hello the Architecture+Design fellas...
Malang is one of the most beautiful cities. When I first visited it, I never stopped saying, “This city is very clean and comfortable,” and I felt like staying there longer. You know that in this city, my friend and I walk more. Clean sidewalks and orderly traffic make every sidewalk comfortable to walk on. For that reason, we don't want to miss interesting places to visit when we are in Malang.
Let's Get it!
Kopi Moro Rindu Cafe in Malang
This Moro Rindu Coffee Shop is one of the places we visited. It is more like a cafe with a traditional touch. Why do I consider this more like a cafe, because the menu they provide is mostly coffee variants. Ah, yes, the name of this shop is Coffee, of course it becomes a Cafe automatically.
Let me take you strolling around the cafe.
As I mentioned earlier, this cafe is a coffee shop that emphasizes traditional architecture where all the materials are made of wood that now looks old. Very unique, the sign that shows the name of the coffee shop even looks simple, only written with paint. But what is special, there are two statues of women and men wearing traditional Javanese clothes in front of the entrance. When you get there, you feel welcomed by the two statues.
This is one of the traditional vehicles in Indonesia, Becak. Becak in the past was a vehicle that used a bicycle. This cafe uses Becak as a decoration and attraction of the cafe. Very unique, right? But never think that this Becak can take you to one place, because this is just a display.
Outside the cafe, there are several wooden pavilions for visitors. The existence of shady coconut trees will make the customer's mood fresh again. Especially if the wind blows gently, wow, that is the pleasure of many people.
As I mentioned earlier, the entire cafe has a traditional architecture that relies on wood as the main material that has been maintained since the first construction. And look at the ceiling, it has a woven lamp holder. The tiles are left visible, adding a strong traditional value.

While the furniture is made of wood, does not have an aesthetic accent influenced by any culture, further strengthening the fact that this cafe building is one of cultural heritages.
This is the traditional music in Java, Gongs. But you can use it, because it is just display.
This is a ceramic display. It is a Javanese bridal couple placed in front of the entrance. That's very awesome.
Meanwhile this is wayang, which is commonly used in traditional Javanese performing arts. An interesting to see traditional instruments in a cafe, innit?

I think this cafe has a basement that might be used as a kitchen.

There is a corner in this cafe that displays all kinds of unique knick-knacks, such as Ontel Bycycle, Rantang (a food container often used in rural areas), ceramic plates on the wall, and several miniature ceramic statues. Then, there are also photos of visitors on one of the walls. This cafe is truly authentic Java.

The most unique thing is this order area. This part has a little modern touch even though it is made of full wood that is not at all beautified, the original and old color was maintenance to emphasize the old vibe.
There is also this beautiful parrot. For your information, how many people in Indonesia have birds as their pet, so no wonder if this parrot is part of the cafe.

Vivie Hardika
Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of them are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
Hello @viviehardika, the Kopi Moro Rindu cafe has a striking decoration, I like the Becak and the sculptures at the entrance.
Greetings!
hi @belkyscabrera Becak is a traditional transportation like taxi. Thanks for dropped by..
Hi @viviehardika. Nothing beats the traditional atmosphere that wood materials and finishes bring to a space. Your featured cafe definitely shines with an organic ambiance that contributes to its cozy experiences. 😊
Thanks for Elevating Architecture and Design with Hive!
Hi @storiesoferne It's rare to see a coffee shop concept like this. You know that nowadays there are many coffee shops that adopt the eye-catching concept.
Wood is certainly one of my favorite building materials. No other traditional finish radiates with the natural allure it contributes to hospitable environments such as your featured cafe. Impressive space @viviehardika! 😊
Experience Your Built World™
Hi @archmoments they even kept the wood which seems to have been there since the building was built
I love how you described the cafe’s traditional architecture and all the little details that make it special.
The statues, the becak, and the wayang make it feel like a mini cultural museum! The outdoor seating under coconut trees sounds like the perfect chill spot. Also, that parrot addition is such a cute touch!
Thanks for sharing this awesome experience!
Thanks for you compliment @yugadi I actually confused about how to describe it because I'm not an expert but you get it, thank you.
I agree that this place is like a mini cultural museum in particular for javanese tribe.
