After the independence of Venezuela in 1830, there was an important architectural influence of the neoclassicism style or as it was also known in America as republican architecture. And as in the capital of Valencia, Carabobo state, the port city of Puerto Cabello, in the same state, has an important architectural work as is the case of the municipal theater of Puerto Cabello, a work that is highlighted its image throughout the promenade of the boardwalk of Puerto Cabello, in view of all ships arriving in the area, being a very important attraction for the city, as well as having been a very important enclosure, where several cultural events of great importance took place, as well as the presentation of several artists of world recognition, as it is well known in record the presentation of the musician Carlos Gardel in these beautiful facilities of this theater.
This facility was inaugurated on January 1, 1886, with a very marked style of neoclassical architecture, mentioned above, in addition to having a capacity for a capacity of 617 seats for the general public to attend the events that take place in the theater. On the other hand this theater has in its interior design, with a copy of a large painting by Ferdinand Bellermann and a large crystal chandelier designed by Manuel Gámez, although this time I do not show these elements, but you can consult and appreciate images relating to the above.

Now, if we talk about its facade, we can appreciate several windows with balconies, as well as the structuring of the facade by large porticoes and the presence of false columns, certain ornamental elements, a Greek pediment and large doors around the theater, very characteristic in the republican works built in Venezuela, where the inclusion and influence of colonial architecture is also taken into account.

On the other hand, the first time I saw this theater, I was struck by its design, and on one occasion I had the opportunity to enter its facilities, being impressed by this architectural and patrimonial jewel of the city, having more than 100 years of history, a place that witnessed the contribution of many artists and musicians of great recognition in the country.

With a spectacular view of the sea, and from other angles of the city, you can still see this great structure of the theater, which is imposed as a building on a land, which also has other buildings ranging from the colonial and republican architectural style, as well as some modern structures.
In another aspect, and that was very important to mention, is the fact that I could not find the architect in charge of this work, the truth that I was looking and inquiring a lot about this information and there are no traces about who were in charge of this work, which has a very important patrimonial value, even being declared on June 8, 1981 as a national historical monument, forming part together with other architectural works such as the municipal theater of Valencia, with such a mention.
All photographs are of my authorship and were taken with a Canon T3i camera.

How nice that you know about my country in my publications, that is the idea that by this means we know about this great world, either for its architecture or great landscapes. Greetings !
What a beautiful theater, and I don't know it! it's amazing its look and color, I love it because it looks compact on the outside, but I sense that it's big on the inside! I hope to be able to visit it soon!!! Thanks for sharing!
Well, the only time I have entered, I can certify that it is very spacious, in addition to the beautiful interior design.
A very old and well preserved theater, sometimes it happens that you can not know who is the architect of important architectural works such as this theater in Puerto Cabello. Thank you for showing its facades and exterior elements, excellent. Greetings and blessings @wilfredocav
Well, I even wrote to a chronicler of Puerto Cabello on Twitter, and he did not know how to answer me, they have no data on those responsible for this construction. Greetings and thanks for commenting.

Indeed the Neoclassical architectural style is quite common in public buildings and institutional monuments such as this impressive municipal theater. However, one thing that arouses my curiosity is that landmark's adaptation of a yellowish color theme. Do you have any idea why they decided to go with that @wilfredocav?
Greetings friend, I think it is by ordinance of the state government, because almost all the old buildings in the region are being painted that color, because previously they were white in its original color.
Okay I see. Well if it's government regulation, then that's understandable. Thanks for the feedback. 😊
