[ENG] INTRODUCTION
Saludos cordiales. Hoy iniciándome en la comunidad Architecture+Design con mucho entusiasmo. Soy Ingeniero Civil y me agrada que exista esta comunidad que va de la mano con mi profesión y que ofrece un espacio virtual en la plataforma de #hive para compartir información de interés entre los usuarios activos que se encuentren en el mundo de la ingeniería y arquitectura, que para mí no solo significan disciplinas científicas sino el arte de desarrollar los espacios construidos en beneficio del hombre y del planeta.
Greetings. Today I am starting in the Architecture+Design community with a lot of enthusiasm. I am a Civil Engineer and I am pleased that there is this community that goes hand in hand with my profession and that offers a virtual space on the #hive platform to share information of interest among active users who are in the world of engineering and architecture, which for me not only mean scientific disciplines but the art of developing built spaces for the benefit of man and the planet.
En esta oportunidad manifiesto mi deseo de participar en el 3er concurso denominado "Viviendo en un mundo material", el cual trata sobre compartir 3 materiales o acabados que sean importantes en el mundo de la arquitectura y del diseño.
In this opportunity I express my desire to participate in the 3rd contest called "Living in a material world", which is about sharing 3 materials or finishes that are important in the world of architecture and design.
A continuación les presento tres de mis materiales favoritos
1. El acero
No puedo dejar de seleccionar este material porque significa mucho en nuestra historia. Es un material que despertó la industria de la construcción y permitió alcanzar sueños para erigir estructuras más exigentes en forma y altura.
El acero es un material tan noble que nos acompaña de tantas maneras. Desde una barra de refuerzo que permite complementarse con el concreto para ofrecer gran resistencia en pórticos de concreto armado, así como también en perfiles que permiten configurar estructuras metálicas ligeras y altamente resistentes.
The following are three of my favorite materials
.1. Steel
I can't stop selecting this material because it means so much in our history. It is a material that awakened the construction industry and made it possible to achieve dreams to erect structures more demanding in shape and height.
Steel is such a noble material that accompanies us in so many ways. From a reinforcing bar that can be complemented with concrete to offer great resistance in reinforced concrete porticos, as well as in profiles that allow the configuration of light and highly resistant metallic structures.

Perfiles estructurales que varían en dimensiones de sección, con longitudes estandarizadas y fabricados bajo un riguroso proceso de control de calidad, que se adaptan a las necesidades de cada proyecto.
Structural profiles varying in section dimensions, with standardized lengths and manufactured under a rigorous quality control process, which are adapted to the needs of each project.

.Como si no fuera poco el hecho de hacer posible la construcción de rascacielos, que no solo significan una proeza arquitectónica sino una solución para aprovechamiento vertical de espacios, también ha hecho posible conectar ciudades y generar polos de desarrollo a través de la construcción de puentes y viaductos.
As if this were not enough, the construction of skyscrapers, which are not only an architectural feat but also a solution for vertical space utilization, has also made it possible to connect cities and generate development poles through the construction of bridges and viaducts.
Edificio más alto del mundo. Burj Khalifa (Dubai) con 828 metros de altura (160 pisos), nos muestra la posibilidad de diseñar una estructura mixta de concreto armado y acero. El cielo es el límite.

Un material sostenible
El acero se configura como uno de los materiales más demandados en el sector construcción y presenta la bondad de ser un material sustentable, gracias a su capacidad de ser reutilizado si se cuida su desmontaje y reciclado infintas veces, manteniendo 100% sus propiedades fisicas y mecánicas.
A sustainable material
.Steel is one of the most demanded materials in the construction sector and has the advantage of being a sustainable material, thanks to its capacity to be reused if it is disassembled and recycled several times, maintaining 100% of its physical and mechanical properties.
2. Drywall
Es un material compuesto con láminas de yeso y perfiles metálicos galvanizados que ha revolucionado el diseño en interiores y remodelaciones. Me fascina porque permite de manera rapida y económica crear tabiques internos que mejoren la distribución del área según las necesidades y requerimientos específicos del proyecto.
Cuando es bien instalado, según las técnicas y procedimientos adecuados, su acabado es tan limpio que genera un ambiente interior agradable a la vista.
2. Drywall
.It is a material composed of sheets of gypsum and galvanized metal profiles that has revolutionized interior design and remodeling. It fascinates me because it allows you to quickly and economically create internal partitions that improve the distribution of the area according to the specific needs and requirements of the project.
When properly installed, according to the proper techniques and procedures, its finish is so clean that it generates an interior environment that is pleasing to the eye.

Es versátil porque posee muchas aplicaciones, que permiten construir paredes, falsos techos, falsas columnas, cielos rasos y elementos decorativos que permiten tapar tuberias de agua, electricidad, telefonía, y cualquier otro elemento indeseado a la vista, creando belleza en los ambientes.

3. El granito
El granito es un material muy apreciado en el mundo de la arquitectura para uso de interiores y exteriores.. Es un revestimiento elaborado a base de roca natural. Brinda una condición muy importante "resistencia", que aunado a durabilidad, adherencia y estética, lo fortalecen como un material especial para construcción de pisos, encimeras y hasta muros estructurales.3. Granite
Granite is a very popular material in the world of architecture for interior and exterior use. It is a coating made from natural rock. It provides a very important condition "resistance", which together with durability, adherence and aesthetics, strengthen it as a special material for the construction of floors, countertops and even structural walls.

As it is elaborated as a mortar, it allows the incorporation of colors and the adaptation of different shapes and designs that can generate results considered as a work of art. If properly maintained, it offers a surface with durable quality over time.
