Building the Kitchen
Hello colleagues, I have been a little absent in this community, but this does not mean that the hard work for the construction and adaptation of my house has stopped, on the contrary, today I can tell you that little by little I have been advancing in important elements for the habitability of my home. An important aspect that today is already finished and fully operational is the whole area related to the kitchen, which really met my expectations and was just as I had projected, here I will tell you a little about that experience and give you the reference images that show the work done.

Construyendo la Cocina
Hola compañeros, he estado un poco ausente en esta comunidad, pero esto no significa que el arduo trabajo por la construcción y adecuación de mi casa se haya detenido, al contrario, hoy puedo contarles que poco a poco he ido avanzando en elementos importantes para la habitabilidad de mi hogar. Un aspecto importante que ya hoy se encuentra finalizado y completamente operativo es toda el área relacionada con la cocina, la cual realmente cumplió mis expectativas y quedó tal cual como le había proyectado, acá les voy a contar un poco sobre esa experiencia y les regalo las imágenes referenciales que evidencian el trabajo realizado.

As I had mentioned in previous publications I decided that the countertops had a black porcelain finish, for them I chose a piece of Carabobo ceramics, which is characterized by its high quality and excellent brightness, for the base of the main countertop I chose a conventional ceramic of 60 cm by 60 cm, in a white tone with some gray shades, which generates an interesting contrast and at the same time gives clarity in a space that is marked by the darkness of the porcelain. Finally, to give balance to the whole environment by a conventional ceramic model of 60 cm by 60 cm of white tone and subtle stripes for everything that is the wall of the kitchen, forming a kind of ribbon of enlarged size, helps to maintain the surface of the entire area and at the same time gives it a showiness to our whole area.
Como les había comentado en publicaciones anteriores decidí que los mesones tuvieran un acabado en porcelanato negro, para ellos escogió una pieza de cerámicas Carabobo, la cual se caracteriza por su alta calidad y excelente brillo, para la base del mesón principal se escogió una cerámica convencional de 60 cm por 60 cm, en un tono blanco con algunos matices grises, lo cual genera un contraste interesante y al mismo tiempo regala claridad en un espacio que se ve marcado por la oscuridad del porcelanato. Finalmente, para darle equilibrio a todo el ambiente por un modelo de cerámica convencional de 60 cm por 60 cm de tono blanco y sutiles rayas para todo lo que es la pared de la cocina, formando como una especie de listón de tamaño agrandado, ayuda para el mantenimiento de la superficie de toda esa zona y al mismo tiempo le da vistosidad a toda nuestra área.
The work was arduous and the incredible amount of dust that all this raised is unprecedented, but fortunately everything progressed correctly, using glue of the Occidente brand were adhering each of the panels, always taking care of every detail and making sure that there were no air bubbles or irregular situations that put at risk the stability of all our work, as always I must include myself, since I worked as one more worker in all this work, the idea of this is that everything came out as quickly as possible and at the same time the finishes that I had in mind were achieved.
El trabajo fue arduo y la increíble cantidad de polvo que levantó todo esto no tiene precedentes, pero afortunadamente todo avanzó de manera correcta, usando pego de la marca Occidente se fueron adhiriendo cada uno de los paneles, siempre cuidando cada detalle y asegurándose de que no quedaran burbujas de aire ni situaciones irregulares que pusieran en riesgo la estabilidad de todo nuestro trabajo, como siempre me debo incluir, ya que trabajé como un obrero más en toda esta obra, la idea de esto esté todo saliera de la manera más rápida posible y al mismo tiempo se alcanzaran los acabados que yo tenía en mente.
As you can see in the images, it is an L-shaped counter, where the shorter part serves as a dining room, while on the longer side we will find the dishwasher, the kitchen and a space suitable for working dough or other preparations. In addition, in the lower part of this space we will find three large cubicles, which in the future will be conditioned as a storage area and there will be an adequate space for an electric oven.
Como pueden apreciar en las imágenes, se trata de un mesón en forma de L, en donde la parte más corta sirve como comedor, mientras que en el lado más largo encontraremos el lavaplatos, la cocina y un espacio adecuado para trabajar masas u otro tipo de preparaciones. Además, en la parte inferior de este espacio encontraremos tres grandes cubículos, los cuales a futuro serán acondicionados como área de almacenamiento y se contará con un espacio adecuado para un horno eléctrico.
With the idea of saving material and money, one of the cubicles was covered with the tiles that were left over from the work done in the bathroom, this does not break with the aesthetics of all the work, since this is an area that in the future will have several doors, so it will not be visible to the eyes of visitors, which is why this type of recycling is allowed.
Con la idea de ahorrar material y dinero uno de los cubículos fue revestido con las baldosas que habían quedado del trabajo realizado en el baño, esto no rompe con la estética de todo el trabajo, ya que esta es un área que a futuro contará con diversas puertas, por lo cual, no será visible ante los ojos de los visitantes, por lo cual está permitido realizar este tipo de reciclaje.
It was an intense work, somewhat exhausting and it took me several days, but the results were really as expected, since I managed to shape the kitchen of my house, but best of all is that it was designed from my own tastes, fulfilling my requirements and with my own effort. For this reason today I am pleased and very happy, since I have a beautiful and elegant space, which fits perfectly to my comforts and that undoubtedly is the reflection of that beautiful house that is no longer a simple dream, but that little by little has become a full reality.
Fue un trabajo intenso, algo agotador y que me tomó varios días, pero realmente los resultados fueron los esperados, ya que logré darle forma a la cocina de mi casa, pero lo mejor de todo es que la misma fue diseñada a partir de mis propios gustos, cumpliendo con mis requerimientos y con mi propio esfuerzo. Por esta razón hoy me encuentro complacido y muy feliz, ya que cuento con un espacio hermoso y elegante, que se ajusta perfectamente a mis comodidades y que sin duda alguna es el reflejo de esa casa bella que ya no es un simple sueño, sino que poco a poco se ha ido convirtiendo en plena realidad.
