When I saw this contest "Shadows and Reflections", It brought back some childhood memories. I remember playing with shadows on the wall with my friends, making funny images with our hands, had great fun doing that.
Well!, I thought I would play with some of Hubby's sculptures that he made, armed with my torch, Lol! I must say, I never thought it would be so much fun, I've become a "Shadow Hunter".
A day in the life of a ballerina.
She stood in the shadows of the wing waiting for her cue to be called.
It was the "Grand Opening Night Gala" of the South African Ballet and she was the principal dancer.
The curtains went up; she stepped into the spot light on stage bowing gracefully to the audience who would experience the brilliance of her accomplishments as an experienced dancer. Aligning her body, she began dancing, moving to the rhythm of the music, every beat embracing her heart, she was in her magical world of dancing, the essence of her life.
She felt the adrenalin rise up in her as she led the other dancers making her feel enormously tall.
She felt part of the music, dancing to every beat played by the orchestra.
Her dancing was her life and soul, without it she would surely die, it was all she had and nothing else mattered.
The audience responded to her brilliance as a performing artist with standing ovation and much applauding. She gave another graceful bow and blew kisses to her beloved fans then disappeared behind the curtain, another brilliant performance had ended in success.
