WHEREVER I PARK MY CAR for the Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Round 105

in Shadow Hunters2 years ago

Wherever I park my car there is a good chance of a successful reflection hunt because each car, no matter how bad or good, cheap or expensive, is a powerful reflection-producing machine.

In this opening picture, for example, you can see a tree reflected in the rear windscreen of my old Toyota. In the following photograph ...

... I, the driver and photographer of the situation, am also a part of the scene displayed on the glass of the window. The photographs were taken in the parking lot in front of one of the supermarkets in the city called Pula.

Here you can see two competing pet shops next to each other. As in the previous pictures, the suburban scene is reflected in the windscreen of my car.

I bought six packages of cat cookies in one of those shops and I put them in the trunk. In this photograph, the reflection of a nearby building has been nicely mixed with the portrait of a cat on one of the packages inside the trunk, creating an unexpected collage. The image of the cat ended up looking like a big mural on the facade.

In this photograph, the clouds looked trapped inside my car, but they are only reflected on the surface of the glass, actually. The photograph was taken somewhere in Istra, the peninsula on which I live. Can't remember where exactly.

This nicely distorted house was photographed in Medulin, my hometown. The scene wasn't reflected on the surface of my car this time ...

(Enlargeable)

... but on the shiny black bodywork of the car across the street.

Here you can see another city building reflected in the windscreen of my car. The photograph was taken in one of the neighborhoods close to the old center of Pula.

In the background of this photograph, you can see some houses on the outskirts of the small town called Vodnjan. The scene was reflected in the window of one of the cars parked next to me. The glass of the window gave the photograph an interesting blue tinge.

Here you can see another reflection caught on the windscreen of my car. This is a scene from the parking lot of the shopping mall in Pula.

In front of the same shopping mall, but on another occasion, I photographed the rim cap of the wheel reflected in the small puddle. In the following photograph ...

... you can see the original and the reflection next to each other.

This reflection was caught on the windscreen of my car. You can see the parking lot of the supermarket PLODINE, on the outskirts of my hometown.

Here you can see another windscreen reflection. This photograph was taken somewhere in Pula. Not far from the old tows, judging by the look of the buildings.

This is another scene from Medulin, my hometown. Some buildings in my neighborhood are reflected on the windscreen of my car.

Can't tell you where this photograph was taken. It looks like a suburb of Pula. But I could be wrong.

In this last shot, you can see another self-portrait created with the windscreen reflection technique. The photograph was taken somewhere on the road between my hometown and the city. More or less halfway between the two, I think.

AND THAT'S IT. HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS COLLECTION OF REFLECTIONS. AS ALWAYS IN THESE POSTS HERE ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK.

THE END

I never even though of how shiny cars could be the vehicles for reflective shots! Neat how they are all just rolling pieces of ever changing art.

Reflections and shadows bring such neat texture and depth to our world if we just stop and enjoy and maybe even share them!

beautiful photos, really!
The insight was outstanding and the result is really exclusive.
I personally like the one you did with the Clio glass and with the puddle where the center part of the rim is reflected.

Great reflection photos. 👍 I like the VW wheel reflection the most. 💯

Lots of interesting stuff reflected on that. I like the cat and the clouds and your self-portrait. Your entry for this week looks like from a scary movie :D

What a great and original way of taking pictures, who would think that in every reflection there is a picture waiting to be captured, a clear example of this is the picture of the cat, before reading what you said about the picture, I thought that the picture of the cat was in the building, as if it was a poster of a cat, when I read that it was a combination between the small cookie and the building I was very impressed.

At least I can see a glimpse of your face at the end of your photos.
always nice to see that you always get some story out of ordinary.
