RE: Reflections of Christmas

in Shadow Hunters3 years ago

Just beautiful Melinda, your posts as well as many others have put me in the Christmas spirit, which to be honest has been lacking this year since I already know will be so different this year.
My hubby is healing well, yet has a way to go, so no traveling yet and no visitors since our home has some alterations that we don't want to share with the family, I know you get it. But the joy will still shine through, facetime is our best friend now and we still have each other.

May you have joy, peace and happiness everyday, you deserve the best!
Sending hugs.

There is nothing wrong with a quiet peaceful Christmas! I will be alone on Christmas, as I have been for the past several years. So that all the kids can be home on Christmas and wake up on Christmas morning to find that Santa has brought gifts to their house, we started the tradition of having our family Christmas on New Year's. It works out well and stretches out the festivities so that everyone is not as frazzled. There are two family birthdays close to New Year's so we can do lots of celebrating when we get together.

They just issued a tornado watch for us. Unheard of in Wisconsin in December! How in heck can you feel ready for Christmas with that kind of weather.

You are so right, for so many years Christmas at my house was a frenzy, great at the time, but now, I am ready to bring it down a bit, getting older and getting tired. The love shines through no matter what, I am fine with passing the baton.

Holy shit! Tornados in Wisconsin? I don't think I have ever heard of that in your state.
Stay safe my friend, I will be watching the weather for sure.
