How's your day? May you and your family always find happiness in life! This is my entry for Shadow Hunters Contest Round 192nd. Sunday has arrived, it's time to take a break from homework from school and get back together with friends to play. Sunday is the day most eagerly awaited by school teenagers. My entry for the Shadow Hunters Contest today is about the traditional game, namely “Engrang”.
Engrang is also known as Jangkungan. Actually this is a traditional game in the form of standing and walking using a bamboo pole. Each player must be able to walk using bamboo and must maintain his balance.
In this photo, several children are practicing to climb the stilts which they often play in front of the house. This game and many other traditional games are part of the Kemataraman culture which is full of Javanese cultural values.
Bagaimana hari kalian hari ini, semoga menyenangkan? Semoga kalian dan keluarga selalu mendapatkan kebahagian dalam hidup! Hari minggu sudah tiba, saatnya lepas sejenak dari pekerjaan rumah dari sekolah dan kembali berkumpul bersama teman untuk bermain. Hari minggu adalah hari yang paling di nanti - nantikan oleh anak – anak sekolah. Entri saya untuk contest Pemburu bayangan kali ini adalah sebuah permainan tradisional yaitu “Engrang”.
Egrang dikenal juga sebagai enggrang atau jangkungan. Sejatinya ini permainan tradisional berupa berdiri dan berjalan menggunakan galah bambu. Setiap pemain harus bisa berjalan menggunakan bambu dan harus mempertahankan keseimbangannya.
Dalam foto ini beberapa anak sedang latihan menaiki Engrang yang sering mereka mainkan di depan rumah. Permainan ini dan banyak permainan tradisional lain merupakan bagian dari budaya kemataraman yang penuh nilai-nilai budaya Jawa.
