After days of dormancy from creating long blogs because I got sick and due to battling with my personal demons caused by some opportunities that slipped away, I was able to recover, though I underwent several processes of bringing back my self-confidence and fixed my wings to fly once again and conquer new horizons as far as my thinking mind can reach. The first thing that happened when I was able to set myself free from the quagmire of having the blues was that I found myself strolling with KitKat, my ever-loyal buddy since the pre-pandemic days.
Though I only intend to keep our walk short, I decided to take KitKat a little further, just like the old days, as I was mesmerized by the calmness of the atmosphere, which made the river look like a huge blanket of mirrors that lay on the ground by some magical hand, and that sight made me want to resume my reflection hunting spree, which I haven't done for weeks.
So we had our first stopover, during which I started to take a few clicks at the reflections that I found in the surroundings, especially at the bamboos across the river that dominate the trees due to their towering height.
Since the wind is not yet causing disruption at the surface of the water and the sun is still shrouded by clouds, we resumed our walk and headed towards the southern direction of the river in order to see what awaits us at that location.
Though it is still cloudy, the winds remain favorable, and the view on this spot is so captivating as the soft tone of the early morning sun almost spreads an equal amount of natural lighting to the adjoining environs, thus creating a mirror effect on the water surface. The amazing sight of reflections can be found almost anywhere at the river, and upon looking to the other side, the landscape is so alluring as its beauty reflects so very well on the water!
Then we wade to the shallow water to reach the other side of the river as there are still other related subjects that awaits to be photographed.
As we waded our way to the other side of the river, a huge tree caught my attention, and it is located elsewhere from the spot that is adjacent to our point of origin.
With its lush foliage composed of big yellowish green leaves, which make it more distinct from the rest, the tree is indeed an eye-catching sight to behold. I also noticed that in the reflection, a circular illusion was formed just beside the tree.
We walked closer on the soft muddy ground to have a clearer view of the massive tree supposedly to identify the species of this towering natural wonder but we back off as the water level near the tree is deeper than we expect so I contended myself to behold the tree from where we paused.
Now that we are at the other side of the river, I took the opportunity to take photographs at the bamboo grove that dotted the landscape as I have more time to look for the ideal angle to have a better snapshot because I have more space to walk through as the water is shallow.
Then we walk further to have a view of the both sides of the river towards the downstream and nailed them on the frame and I got mesmerized by the wonderful scene.
I also took photograph at our jump off point before we headed for home as the wind started to become unfavorable for reflection hunting as it causes unwanted distortion.
So I decided to head for home and I feel relaxed now as mother nature swept away the angst that bothering my mind. Truly, nature can heal and it is better than any medication created by mortals like me. This is my contribution for this week's Reflection Hunters Challenge Round 151 hosted by Ms. @olgavita and thanks everyone for your patience in reading my humble composition.
