Shadow Hunters Community Contest SMASh - Round 360
The Saturday before the beginning of the Holy Week season, an activity is usually celebrated in the city, which consists of a procession that accompanies the image of the Divine Shepherdess (Divina Pastora) on her return to the town of Santa Rosa after having visited all the parishes of Barquisimeto in the period between January 14 and the day before Palm Sunday.
These photos belonging to my personal archive were taken last year when thousands of parishioners were walking along the avenue on this route that usually ends shortly before sunset.
As I have described in previous posts, I usually make use of the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed, with the aim of improving or highlighting some element of my images.
El Sábado anterior al inicio de la temporada de Semana Santa, se suele celebrar una actividad en la ciudad, la cual consiste en una procesión que acompaña a la imagen de la Divina Pastora en su regreso a la población de Santa Rosa luego de haber visitado a todas las parroquias de Barquisimeto en el período comprendido entre el 14 de Enero y el día anterior al Domingo de Ramos.
Estas fotos pertenecientes a mi archivo personal, las tomé el año pasado cuando miles de feligreses caminaban por la avenida en este recorrido que suele finalizar poco antes del anochecer.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, usualmente hago uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed, con el objetivo de mejorar o destacar algún elemento de mis imágenes.
