I went out to the market at around 5 PM today. On my way to the market, I stopped by this green paddy field transplanted with paddy saplings.
The Sun was about to set, so evidently hanging lower on the horizon. And as a result, the reflection was spot on.
The reflections are vivid, not just of the Sun, and the trees, but also of the paddy saplings if you could minutely observe it.
I stopped by the beautiful sight and did not waste my time clicking a few shots.
The crimson red aura during the Sunset has created a different theme altogether during sunset and that is apparent in this shot.
My village is surrounded by agricultural lands all around and the major crop that is grown here is paddy, thanks to Hirakud Dam for the irrigation facilities.
Paddy has become remunerative of late. The farmers have now better purchasing power, but that equally implies that the cost of agricultural land which hitherto had been low has suddenly witnessed a spike in its valuation.
Most of the farmers in India are marginal farmers, so for forward and backward linkages of the farm produce they rely on others.
Women's participation in agriculture in India is 40%, while that is impressive, women owning land in India is only 9%, so gender equity in ownership is also needed.
Down the line, modern farming, precision agriculture, and climate-resilient crops will take center stage, even the policy alignment of the Govt is pointing towards that direction.
While the cost of residential plots has seen a steep rise and exponential spikes in the last two decades, I potentially see agricultural land witnessing similar upgradation and revision in its valuation in this decade.
Manufacturing and Agriculture will dominate vis-a-vis the service sector. Service sector correction is imminent.
