Shadow Hunter/ SMASh Contest Round #362 | Shadow of a ceiling fan

Yet another episode of shadow hunting.

This week I explored shadow hunting at night. Night shadows are more fascinating for me than conventional shadow hunting under sunlight.

Today I got a few good shadows of a ceiling fan. I was unaware that even the ceiling fan could cast such beautiful shadows until I started exploring it.

I had to switch off the direct light, and I captured these shadows under a passive light source(without any direct focus).

I took the shots from different angles. And the result you can see from these captures.

I did not move the passive light source and kept it static. I think I should experiment a bit more by moving the passive light source and examine the result. I would try and experiment with it next time.

Shadows are lighter than the ceiling fan.....😀😀😀😀. Weightless, artistic shadows are the intangible essence of a tangible thing.

If I could give a nomenclature to this philosophy I would say IOT, which means INTANGIBILITY OF TANGIBLES.

Shadows are not mere shadows, they are kind of astral bodies of an object....😀😀😀😀...too much of philosophy and too much of intangibility.

The best part of shadows is that they are not fixed by shape even when the parent object is fixed and definite in its shape. That flexibility and dynamism offer the artists, photographers, etc. new room to explore their artistic skills. The creative mind trades on those fleeting parameters of shadows. And then it becomes rewarding to participate in a perpetual shadow-hunting contest.
