I thought that transparent things also had shadows, but the shadows weren't too black. So a shadow would appear black if the object was solid and not transparent, which I can deduce based on the mug shot I shot.
From the few glasses that I have a photograph of, it's not black, but it's a transparent shade following the glass that's a photograph. So how the glass is transparent because it's made of glass.
This glass is made of clear white glass, which allows light to penetrate and produce a transparent image.
