Early winter is a great time to visit Japan. The tourist crowds are smaller the skies are clearer. There are still cloudy days, but more often then not the skies have less clouds than other times of year.
Winter also means the sun sets earlier. That's great for visiting Shibuya Sky rooftop observatory to catch the twilight views. Like this sunset picture with Mt. Fuji in shadow.

If you can't make it out, Mt. Fuji is slightly center, left peaking above the horizon.
If you follow me you've probably seen my previous posts about Shibuya Sky. It's the tallest building in Shibuya and the rooftop is an tourist attraction where you can view the entire city.
Each time I am there I notice something new about the city.
The show stealer is always Mt. Fuji though. Of course you want to go on a clear day so you can see the majestic volcano. Oh and bring a good camera because with a good zoom you can actually see a couple of the trails going up the mountain and other details not normally seen. I hope I have the chance next year to climb Mt. Fuji and grab a picture ofTokyo and Shibuya Sky instead.

I agree. Little and adults because both age groups you can enjoy. Teens years are just total chaos!
