I'm uncertain how to answer that. I'm perfectly fine with it and would suggest that you write new text to go along with it so that there is no question of you recycling a post. @thekittygirl What are the rules for this?

"Can we use photos that we already posted elsewhere?"

@sammy00 & @melinda010100 ~ If you mean photos that were posted to your Instagram, Twitter, etc., yes, you can use them on Hive! Be sure to state in your post: "Photo by me, from my Instagram" or something similar! 🙂

What about photos that were used in a different post on Hive or Steemit. I've long since lost track of which photos I posted previously. I'm hesitant to create any posts these days.

As long as we aren't repeating entire posts, it is fine to re-use a photo with different content. I've done that before without problem, reusing a photo with additional info, a different twist in the tale, etc.

The whole thing about "reusing content" being viewed badly is this: The platform is trying to discourage lazy people from re-posting the same content over-and-over rather than creating something new. Hive will have more value as an ecosystem when the content published is always fresh and original. Using an old photo with a couple of shiny, new paragraphs of text accomplishes such! 🙂

tnx for response
will try to stay within things that is written
taking new photos is not bad idea :)
