Con este poema estoy participando en la iniciativa semanal de la comunidad @freewritehouse y el #Clubdepoesia, tomando en cuenta el tema propuesto: Flor de cayena.
Flor de cayena
Siempre está,
no importa si una mano la toma,
ella estará en la quietud
o en la algarabía.
Sus pétalos pueden caer de diferentes maneras,
tal vez las calles sucumban al color rojo,
de sus pétalos dispersos.
Es la flor que ofrezco a la mujer que transita,
unas sonríen,
mientras detienen la mano y siguen.
Otras buscan su fragancia,
que se pierde en el piropo
y anhelan la rosa y el clavel.
Las señoras,
víctimas de la lisonja
dicen que es una flor hermosa
y la dejan cabalgar en sus cabellos, se van, libres,
como potra encabritada.
Flor de cayena, que siempre estás,
vigilante de sueños
y levantando sonrisas,
eres mi poema
floreciendo desde mi silencio.

Cayenne flower
It's always there,
no matter if a hand takes her,
she will be in the stillness
or in the din.
Its petals may fall in different ways,
perhaps the streets will succumb to the red colour
of its scattered petals.
It is the flower that I offer to the woman in transit,
some smile,
as they stop their hand and follow.
Others seek its fragrance,
which is lost in the compliment
and long for the rose and the carnation.
The ladies,
victims of flattery
say it is a beautiful flower
and let it ride in their hair, they go, free,
like a raging filly.
Cayenne flower, you are always
watchful of dreams
and raising smiles,
you are my poem
blooming from my silence.
