What is your ideal vision of community?
We met under a near-full moon to discuss the vision for our growing community. After sourcing these ideas, I will re-produce our Temple Branding documents to keep us on track going forward.
DR Wu brought up Remix culture: the idea we should be continually generating new culture. I think this is HUGE as I also believe that we need a new culture on Earth to evolve as a species.
Karelia talked about the healing power of community, sharing her experience joining Women's circles in Cusco, Peru.
Dan shared his thoughts on the previously mentioned ideas, and brought up something about high-fidelity connections; connections that have more information (like video calls vs forums) make us more human, and our interactions more human. This idea stuck with me (Dan always has a lot of great ideas, so I just picked one) because I want to have something called Solfest, which will be decentralized music parties anyone can hold using our event template. I think that this will be a even better way to connect people, though with limitations of location.

I consider open source as one aspect of IP in the public domain but there are other valued uses of the public domain which over the years has shrunk due to copyright laws historically introduced by Disney
