SilentBob curation atarting next weekend: #creativecoin community input wanted.

in Creative Coin3 years ago

I'm writing this post to solicit esential input from the #creativecoin community. Especialy those of you living in the #fiction, #poetry and #bookreview corners of #creativecoin.

In a few days I'm going to power up my @silentbot account with a little over 500,000 CCC to give it some curation power. You may have noticed I've run a few tests with the bot to see how things dimension.

The original plan was to have @silentbot do upvotes depending on the number of stars (1..5), and on if the post was posted set to 100% power up or not.

stars100%PUvote
1no1%
1yes5%
2no10%
2yes20%
3no25%
3yes35%
4no50%
4yes60%
5no90%
5yes100%

After running a couple of multi-day tests however, I discovered the volume and quality of the #fiction , #poetry , and #bookreview posts on #creativecoin is so high that the voting backlog would end up growing with almost 40 hours each day, a number that won't fit.

I'm currently seeing a few options of how to deal with this:

  1. I just stop curating whenever the @silentbot effective voting backlog grows beyond five days, and skip all new posts until the backlog gets back to below three days.
  2. I reduce all vote percentages by 40% right now and determine the reduction factor once every few weeks.
  3. I reduce the vote strength as the vote backlog size grows. So the numbers above if the backlog is a day or less, then, 15% reduced at two days, 30% at three days, and so on.

Guys (m/f), what do you all think? Please let me know in the comments below.

It seems to me that option#3 is the best option since people love consistent compliment even at lower amount. At this option most of the posts will be rewarded since backlogs can miss some posts due to calculation.

Probably option 2 or 3 will work best, as people engaging with those tags will at the very least get some engagement and curation 😊

I like option #3 best (looks like that way people might have their work recognized more often even if the rewards are smaller at times). If you suspect you’ll come up with an even better solution then option #2 could work as well ☮️

Very nice 👍 writing content is growing with creative coin community 😊 excellent work
