Good evening buzzers, I've been slothin around Hive for some time now, and every week, I see at least 1 if not 100 posts about the Saturday Savers club! So, in true sloth fashion, I'm joining it! As the old saying goes, if you can't beat em, join em!
A new Saturday Savers year is upon us so what better time to get involved? Even if the sloth is already over a week late to the start of the year, there's still plenty of time to get involved with the Saturday Savers Club!
I tend to do my savings goals in my monthly power-up post, but hopefully, by joining the savers club, I will have more users to interact with and help motivate each other to overcome the sloth and create some buzz around Hive!
Who knows, with some gentle persuasion, I may even get a few of the savers slothing along with us, making a buzz in the SlothBuzz community. Weekly update posts directly from Sloth.Buzz? I did notice the Saturday Savers community doesn't have its 'own' community. Maybe slothbuzz could become a Slothly Saturday Savers club hangout! But that's something I'll need to work on over time! For now, let's focus on GOALS!!

This year, the Saturday Savers Club also offers 2 fantastic giveaways for some of the 'best savers' of the year. Depending on your starting balance and earned rewards over the year, you can win some juicy prizes.
Technically, I find myself in a bit of a tough spot. The challenge has 2 'classes', with the lower one ending at 6000HP. Those users must earn over 600HP annually in author and curation rewards. Which is a tough challenge. However, I find myself in an even stickier situation. With just under 8K HP, my yearly earnings are far off the 3000 HP expectation of author and curation rewards for the second draw class. Let's hope my involvement with Saturday Savers and my main goal of being more interactive on Hive help push me towards this target. Maybe I should make that my secondary goal for this year. I was going to do Hive and HBD totals, but it might make more sense for earnings to be a goal...

With all that said, my goal should be to improve my position within Hive. So, on with my goals for 2025! As per my Power up day post, my main goal of the year is to hit 10,000 HP! Aiming for the top 1500 of HP stakers across Hive. This in itself is a pretty big ask. I'm hoping I will be able to take advantage of the rising Hive price and maybe trade some HBD/Hive to maximise my investment into HP, along with being more active on the chain, interacting with more users and creating more content myself.
As for a secondary goal, my goal is to be more active and interact more frequently with users. However, I feel I should set a target with an objective metric, so why not make it $SLOTHBUZZ? Who doesn't want to stack more SLOTHBUZZ tokens? I currently have 141 staked. I aim to earn a minimum of 5 SlothBuzz monthly for the SlothBuzz power-up day on the 7th of each month. This would give me 11 more months x 5, so 55 SLOTHBUZZ tokens. 141 Staked + 55 Earned would be 196, so let's round that up to a juicy 200 SLOTHBUZZ total for the end of the year!
GOALS:
10,000 HP Staked (An increase of 2,335 HP)
200 SLOTHBUZZ Staked (An increase of 59 SLOTHBUZZ)

Simples! Sloth steps, and hopefully, we can achieve them! With some luck, we can also get an entry into the year-end giveaway, but I think that could be asking just a little too much of this little sloth! Who knows, with the current pump in Hive visibility, more users could join Hive and start to rock the boat, creating more opportunities for everyone to earn and improve over the year!

Interesting about the community. Members talked about setting one up but we decided against it because members post in different communities and news about the Club gets spread more widely.
I'm sure you'll hit your target and more with the help of Saturday Savers!
It sounds like there's some clever sloths already in the savers club then, makes sense to have it all over instead of hidden away in it's own little community. I guess we'll just need to let the savers know that #slothbuzz can be used on their posts, any way we can help keep the !SLOTH buzzing through their Hive journey
