Aquí AJ, el día de hoy he querido traerles una reseña de la novela gráfica de Alice Oseman, Heartstopper. Es una historia de amor adolescente entre dos chicos en un instituto.
AJ here, today I wanted to bring you a review of Alice Oseman's graphic novel, Heartstopper. It's a story of teenage love between two boys in a high school.

Hacía mucho que tenía ganas de darle un vistazo a esta novela gráfica. Debido a que no hacía más que escuchar y leer buenos comentarios desde que salió, ya hace algún tiempo. Pero debido a que no había tenido tiempo no lo había hecho, y siendo sincera se me había olvidado, pero la cuarentena me está dando tiempo preciado para dedicarle a lecturas pendientes. Así que finalmente llegó el día que me dispuse a leer esta historia. Un libro que duró apenas una hora en mis manos pero valió totalmente la pena.
I've been wanting to check out this graphic novel for a long time. Because I kept hearing and reading good comments about it since it came out, some time ago. But because I hadn't had time I hadn't done it, and to be honest I had forgotten about it, but the quarantine is giving me precious time to dedicate to pending readings. So finally the day came when I set out to read this story. A book that lasted barely an hour in my hands but it was totally worth it.
Es un formato tipo cómic precioso que te habla de dos chicos, Nick y Charlie que se van conociendo y van formando una relación cada vez más íntima, muy recomendable para lectura LGBT+, sinceramente me ha enganchado mucho.
It's a beautiful comic book format that tells you about two boys, Nick and Charlie who get to know each other and form an increasingly intimate relationship, highly recommended for LGBT+ reading, honestly I was really hooked.
Esta historia de amor entre dos chicos, uno de ellos Charlie, un joven de 14 años abiertamente gay (aunque no haya sido su decisión "salir del closet") y que está viéndose a escondidas con otro alumno pero la cosa no sale demasiado bien. Por otro lado esta Nick, un joven rugbier de 16 años que cree ser heterosexual, que en realidad se encuentra en vías de su autodescubrimiento, debido a que cuanto más tiempo pasa con su nuevo amigo, descubrirá que tal vez no sea así. Siendo dos chicos que no se conocían y que la organización de grupos de estudio cambiará su destino.
This love story between two boys, one of them Charlie, a 14 year old openly gay (although it was not his decision to "come out of the closet") and who is secretly seeing another student but things don't go too well. On the other side is Nick, a 16-year-old rugby player who thinks he's straight, but is actually on the road to self-discovery, because the more time he spends with his new friend, the more he discovers he may not be. Being two boys who did not know each other and that the organization of study groups will change their destiny.

Esta historia no es solo una preciosidad, es esa historia que te atrapa de principio a fin, que nos recordará que hay primeros amores frágiles como el cristal y memorables como el diamante. Con los titubeos propios de cualquier amor adolescente, Heartstopper responde a la manera de sentir de los jóvenes reales, con una visión abierta, natural y sensible sobre el amor y la identidad sexual, sin perder nunca la delicadeza y la emoción.
This story is not only beautiful, it is that story that grabs you from beginning to end, that will remind us that there are first loves as fragile as crystal and as memorable as diamonds. With the hesitations of any adolescent love, Heartstopper responds to the way real young people feel, with an open, natural and sensitive vision of love and sexual identity, without ever losing delicacy and emotion.
Si bien no es un libro extenso, logras conectar con los personajes casi desde el primer encuentro. Son de los protagonistas más inocentes, adorables y totalmente abrazables que leí. Es difícil no encariñarse con ellos. Por que leer a Charlie con miedo a expresar lo que siente, porque cree que Nick es heterosexual y nunca correspondería sus sentimientos, enfrentando todo ese caos de inseguridades en esa cabecita de pelo enmarañado pero adorable y por otro lado a Nick no entendiendo muy bien qué es lo que le pasa cuando está con Charlie, sintiéndose confundido y en busca de ayuda al no saber cual es la respuesta a esto que siente, esto sin duda derrite el corazón de cualquiera.
While it is not a long book, you manage to connect with the characters almost from the first encounter. They are some of the most innocent, lovable and totally huggable protagonists I've ever read. It's hard not to get attached to them. Why read Charlie afraid to express what he feels, because he thinks Nick is straight and would never reciprocate his feelings, facing all that chaos of insecurities in that little head of tangled but adorable hair and on the other hand Nick not quite understanding what happens to him when he is with Charlie, feeling confused and looking for help not knowing what the answer is to what he feels, this certainly melts anyone's heart.
Esta historia me ha parecido absolutamente estupenda. Y lo mejor es que esta reseña es solo del primer tomo, siendo los otros volúmenes las inigualables aventuras de lo demás a lo que enfrentarse en este bello amor adolescente, y así para seguir disfrutando de Nick y Charlie. La historia es preciosa y los dibujos también; me ha gustado mucho como ha ilustrado la novela Alice Oseman, en serio no conocía su trabajo. Lo he leído en apenas una hora y porque he parado para suspirar y gritar como fangirl. Puesto que la relación de amistad de esta pareja es adorable y nada tóxica. Es todo super bonito y real. Sin duda me ha encantado, todo esto es el por qué no podés soltar el libro hasta terminarlo.
I thought this story was absolutely terrific. And the best thing is that this review is only of the first volume, the other volumes being the unparalleled adventures of the rest of what to face in this beautiful teenage love, and so to continue enjoying Nick and Charlie. The story is beautiful and the drawings too; I really liked how Alice Oseman has illustrated the novel, I really didn't know her work. I read it in barely an hour and because I stopped to sigh and scream like a fangirl. Since the friendship relationship of this couple is adorable and not toxic at all. It's all super cute and real. Without a doubt I loved it, all of this is why you can't put the book down until you finish it.
Lo único malo ( y que me casi hace que me de algo) es que el final de este tomo te deja con ganas de gritar y de arrancarte todos los pelos de la cabeza, y solo para respirar de nuevo necesitareis el siguiente tomo de esta historia. ¡No tarden mucho en leer esta novela comunidad!¡Se los digo una historia dulce, tierna que no podrás soltar hasta el final, llena de emociones, que te hará suspirar más de una vez, y sin duda te enamorarás de sus protagonistas!
The only bad thing (and that almost makes me feel something) is that the end of this volume leaves you wanting to scream and pull all the hair out of your head, and just to breathe again you will need the next volume of this story. Do not take too long to read this community novel, I tell you a sweet, tender story that you can not let go until the end, full of emotions, that will make you sigh more than once, and no doubt you will fall in love with its protagonists!
