Hola queridos amigos de Hive y de esta maravillosa comunidad de Hive Book Club, espero se encuentren bien y que hayan tenido un excelente inicio de semana. En esta hermosa noche les quiero compartir una novela que se llama Cita con el Pasado escrita por una de mis escritoras favoritas, Nora Roberts. En esta ocasión Nora Roberts nos cuenta la historia de Jessica Lynn, una niña que le fue robada a su madre, Suzanne Cullen, en diciembre de 1974 en un centro comercial de Woodsboro. Esa niña ahora se llama Callie Dunbrook y ya no es una niña, es una mujer de 28 años que ha tenido una hermosa familia desde su niñez, es arqueóloga con un proyecto por delante. Callie llega al pueblo de Woodsboro por el proyecto que le ha encargado su jefe Leo, se trata de un asentamiento de la era neolítica, un proyecto muy interesante, lo que Callie no sabe es que estar en este proyecto cambiará su vida.
Esta historia consta de tres partes:
La Capa Superficial
Un día llega al motel donde Callie se está quedando mientras termina el proyecto una mujer que le pregunta si es adoptada porque tiene mucho parecido con la hija que perdió hace muchos años, lo que Callie pensará que es una locura pero la llevará a enterarse de su verdad, es adoptada y posiblemente es la hija de esta señora. Por otra parte, le es asignado como socio en el proyecto a Jacob Graystone, su exesposo, su relación terminó muy mal, y ahora estaba allí tratando de reconquistarla, Callie no lo había superado y estaba justo allí, en su gran proyecto, eso fue una bendición porque en la única persona en que podía confiar en ese momento era el, su exesposo Jacob.
Pero esto no acaba, esta hermosa historia tiene otro romance en paralelo, Lana Campbell es una abogada que ha perdido a su esposo hace unos pocos años, ella ha hecho una muy buena amistad con Roger Cullen, padre de Suzanne, ahora Lana conoce al nieto de Roger y siente una gran curiosidad hacia él, el es Douglas Cullin, el es un hombre de pocas palabras, es apuesto, muy serio, pero de gran corazón. Es por esto que Lana quiere que se conozcan y quién sabe, quizás pueda hacer al abuelo Roger feliz si logra conquistar a su nieto.
La Excavación
Aquí empiezan los problemas, Callie ha estado investigando su robo y se da cuenta que hay cosas que no coinciden, la teoría más razonable es una asociación que roba bebés y los vende a familias de gran prestigio y dinero a cambio de una satisfactoria comisión, hacen parecer que es una adopción normal pero más rápida, pero no lo es. Ahora Callie y Lana están en búsqueda de la verdad.
Por otra parte el proyecto había ido perfectamente hasta que hubo un muerto, Dolan era el dueño de la tierra y jefe de una empresa de construcción, él quería detener el proyecto pero el que se detuvo para siempre fue él. Ahora el pueblo está aterrorizado y cree que es por una maldición, lo que siguen pensando después de un muerto más en la zona. Ahora todos deberán estar resguardándose, estar juntos y protegerse unos a otros.
Los Hallazgos
Esta es la parte más interesante porque se develan los secretos de la historia, unos secretos que nadie pensaría, nadie es quién dice ser, el asesino está entre ellos, quién podrá ser?
Sinceramente es una historia fascinante, emocionante y con el doble de romance, en esta historia se enseña sobre el amor de la familia, aún sin ser de la misma sangre, enseña también sobre la perseverancia y la paciencia. Suzanne tuvo que esperar 28 años para conocer a su hija, pero ella jamás podrá ser la niña que le robaron un día, ahora ella tiene una familia que la ama y a quien ella ama, su Jessica jamás volverá, pero ahora Callie tiene dos madres que la aman, no puede regresar el tiempo perdido, pero puede mejorar su futuro.

Hello dear friends of Hive and this wonderful community of Hive Book Club, I hope you are well and that you have had an excellent start of the week. On this beautiful evening I want to share with you a novel called Rendezvous with the Past written by one of my favorite writers, Nora Roberts. This time Nora Roberts tells us the story of Jessica Lynn, a little girl who was stolen from her mother, Suzanne Cullen, in December 1974 in a Woodsboro mall. That little girl is now named Callie Dunbrook and she is no longer a child, she is a 28 year old woman who has had a beautiful family since childhood, she is an archaeologist with a project ahead of her. Callie arrives in the town of Woodsboro because of the project that her boss Leo has given her, it is a Neolithic era settlement, a very interesting project, what Callie doesn't know is that being in this project will change her life.
This story consists of three parts:
The Superficial Layer
One day arrives at the motel where Callie is staying while finishing the project a woman who asks her if she is adopted because she has a lot of resemblance to the daughter she lost many years ago, which Callie will think is crazy but it will lead her to learn her truth, she is adopted and possibly is the daughter of this lady. On the other hand, she is assigned as a partner in the project to Jacob Graystone, her ex-husband, their relationship ended very badly, and now he was there trying to win her back, Callie was not over him and he was right there, in her big project, that was a blessing because the only person she could trust at that moment was him, her ex-husband Jacob.
But this doesn't end, this beautiful story has another romance in parallel, Lana Campbell is a lawyer who has lost her husband a few years ago, she has made a very good friendship with Roger Cullen, Suzanne's father, now Lana meets Roger's grandson and feels a great curiosity towards him, he is Douglas Cullin, he is a man of few words, he is handsome, very serious, but with a big heart. This is why Lana wants them to meet and who knows, maybe she can make grandfather Roger happy if she can conquer his grandson.
The Excavation
Here the problems begin, Callie has been investigating her theft and realizes that there are things that don't add up, the most reasonable theory is an association that steals babies and sells them to families of great prestige and money in exchange for a satisfying commission, they make it look like a normal but quicker adoption, but it's not. Now Callie and Lana are in search of the truth.
On the other hand the project had been going perfectly until there was a death, Dolan was the owner of the land and head of a construction company, he wanted to stop the project but the one who stopped for good was him. Now the town is terrified and believes it is because of a curse, what they still think after one more death in the area. Now everyone should be taking shelter, be together and protect each other.
The Findings
This is the most interesting part because the secrets of the story are revealed, secrets that no one would think, no one is who they say they are, the murderer is among them, who could it be?
Sincerely it is a fascinating story, exciting and with double the romance, this story teaches about the love of the family, even without being of the same blood, it also teaches about perseverance and patience. Suzanne had to wait 28 years to meet her daughter, but she can never be the child that was stolen from her one day, now she has a family that loves her and who she loves, her Jessica will never return, but now Callie has two mothers that love her, she can't make up for lost time, but she can make her future better.

Que ganas tengo de leer el libro. Esta publicación me enganchó y me ha hecho necesaria la lectura de este libro que por su relato se nota que es de esos libros que no paras hasta terminar de leerlo. Por otra parte, la trama de robo de bebés es de las cosas más oscuras que ha existido en el mundo porque se trata de tráfico de personas. Excelente publicación. Gracias por compartir.
