Hola queridos amigos de Hive y de esta maravillosa comunidad de Hive Book Club, espero se encuentren bien y que hayan tenido un excelente y productivo día. Hoy quiero hablarles sobre un libro clásico de la literatura inglesa que seguramente han escuchado mencionar en un sin número de ocasiones, se trata de "Cumbres Borrascosas" cuya autora es Emily Brontë. Esta novela fue publicada en 1847 y ha cautivado a generaciones lectoras con su historia apasionante, personajes inolvidables y escenas poco comunes entre los protagonistas.
La trama de "Cumbres Borrascosas" gira en torno a los amores y desamores de los personajes principales: Heathcliff y Catherine. Su relación tormentosa y apasionada se desarrolla en el sombrío y salvaje paisaje de Yorkshire, creando un ambiente oscuro y misterioso que envuelve al lector desde la primera página. Para mi, "Cumbres Borrascosas" es una novela inolvidable que ha dejado una huella imborrable en mi memoria. Si aún no han tenido la oportunidad de leerla, les recomiendo que se sumerjan en su mundo de pasión y tragedia, y descubran por qué sigue siendo un clásico indiscutible hasta el día de hoy. El amor de Heathcliff por Catherine los cautivará, pero también los dejará impactados en muchas ocasiones, esta es la segunda vez que la leo, pero debo decir que es un libro que deja escenas clavadas en tu memoria de una manera excepcional.

I have a copy of this book and read it when I was in school. I never liked Healthcliff. He's a complicated character with mental instability. His obsession with Catherine and manipulative behaviour towards other characters in the book are simply annoying! Hehe. But a fine book nonetheless. Thanks for the review.

Este libro lo leí hace años y honestamente no recuerdo mucho de él, creo que es pertinente leerlo de nuevo. Aunque no recuerdo a heathcliff con mucho cariño 😁 creo que en aquel entonces me pareció una relación muy tóxica
