RE: Stoner: Book review by moi

Yep, I am one of those who would have guessed the subject matter was going to be something totally different! I've never heard of this book. I keep trying to find a book that will catch my eye and retain my interest, but nothing has appealed to me yet.

I'm jealous that you have access to libraries. The last time I was visiting the US I spent a lot of time in the local library. They have everything to the point where I can't understand why anyone in USA would ever buy a book.

It's actually hard to find what you want a lot of times. I think my wife has memberships to several different libraries so she doesn't have to deal with wait lists and stuff like that quite so much. It's great that you can do it all online now and just have it sent to your reading app.

yeah my mother was taking about how she can "borrow" digital books from her local library even though she doesn't live anywhere near there anymore. The books on the Kindle "expire" but that has an exceptionally easy workaround that me and my brother worked out for her. While she feels a little bit bad for "stealing" she does enjoy that she gets to keep the books she checks out for more than 14 days.

That is cool. My wife is a pretty fast reader, so she never really has a problem with that. Me on the other hand... I don't even bother checking them out because I know I won't be able to finish them in time!
