Hello my friends from the #Hivebookclub community, today I have the pleasure of talking about a book by one of my favorite writers such as "Loser Take All" or also translated as "The loser Wins" by Graham Greene (1904-1991) .
Graham Greene was a playwright, journalist, novelist, screenwriter, autobiographer, writer and writer of children's literature, awarded the Order of Merit from the United Kingdom, which was his native country. He was an adventurous traveler and during WWII he was recruited by the MI6 where he served as a spy. He was also nominated for an Oscars by Film Academy Awards for having written the script in the 1950 film "The Fallen Idol."
Loser Take All is a book published in 1950, it is a short novel, with a neat narrative that envelops and immerses the reader along with its descriptive form of environments and events, well structured dialogues bringing us a fresh and modern literature.
I had never read a book by this magnificent writer, but after having read it I was delighted to the point that he is one of my reference writers, at the moment I am reading other of his works "The power and the glory."
The plot of the book takes us to the casinos of Monaco where a newly married couple celebrates their honeymoon, a romance novel full of drama and suspense with well-crafted characters. I liked the novel so much that I read it in two reading sessions. It is short and leaves me wishing it had been longer.
He who loses wins is an allegory that sometimes you have to know how to lose, let go to know exactly what we have, making us gain reflection and awareness.

A novel from 1950 and still good and enjoyable to read. So this is like a romantic drama novel. I like such genre as well. I read mystery and adventure novels from the writers Agatha Christie and Sydney Sheldon. I also read Dan Brown's works. At my earlier age, I read Enyd Blyton's The Famous Five and The Three Investigators.
Thanks for posting such a cool article.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting, I have read some mystery books and thrillers, Agatha is very famous, maybe I read a book by her. I don't know anything about Sidney except what I just read about him, I find it interesting. Greetings and I hope to see some publication of you in this community
I just joined the Community. Maybe I will write to this. You have a nice day, @cibersk8.
Hmm, seems like a great book, I'd love to see a writer make sense out of this saying that Loser takes all.
Thank you for stopping by and commenting, yes, and he do it masterfully from my opinion, I hope you can read it and in the future tell me how it went.
