I am still on the verge of finishing Michele's book.
I think we readers find a way to read in any situation. Pedicures...yes , what a great use of that time, to take a book and read. It depends on the salon, some like to be chatty and talk. But for sure I think it is better to read and feel good about it.
I love real life stories, memories and biographies. I feel inspired whenever I read about a human being overcoming adversity
Same here! I'm still far from finishing the Michelle Obama book, I guess because nonfiction/memoirs isn't really my main genre. But I love it and I try to read chunks of it from time to time.
True that, it really depends on the salon. Sometimes when the person is chatty the book is forgotten because I'm already engaged in the conversation 😅
And your fave genre is amazing. After reading Michelle's book, I'll surely want to explore more nonfiction. Thanks for leaving a comment! 🥰
Your welcome! I also enjoy conversation as long as it feels authentic and meaningful, but I admit that having my nose in a book can feel wonderful.
I became captivated and utterly in love with nonfiction and memoirs after reading Viktor Frankl Man's search for meaning and Alfred Lansing with his book about Ernest Shackleton. I just love a good life story, always always
Hugs 🤗
