Book review: They're Going to Love You🔖📖♥️

Hello, everyone! Hope you are all doing well. It's been a while since I read a sad book that made me cry. Although it sounds weird, but i like crying while reading a book,🙈 somehow makes me more connected to the story.

But Recently, one of my friends suggested the new Meg Howrey book "They're Going to Love You," which definitely made me cry. This book is an emotionally charged novel set against the backdrop of professional ballet in New York City during the AIDS crisis.

This book is more than a read; it's an entire experience. It absorbs you right into the world of ballet-its gloss and sweat, then sucks you in with a family drama loaded with secrets and heartache. The story centers on Carlisle Martin, a choreographer tangled up in painful family memories and with a wish to belong-she's basically trying to figure her way out in life.

She used to visit her dad, Robert, and his partner, James, in New York when she was young. James had a huge impact on her; he introduced her to art and music and really rekindled her passion for dance. Joined with her mother's influence, she dreamed of becoming a ballerina and longed to be part of her world.

But of course, things get complicated. Years later, a phone call forces Carlisle to reflect on that summer and how it changed her forever.

This is one book where I felt the characters were very real. They were imperfect; they stumbled upon a few little mistakes, just like real human beings do. You could sense Castle's voice of desperation and desire for belonging and the sheer anxiety of piecing her past together. And the prose by Howrey!--just beautiful. She knows an awful lot about ballet, and she creates the feeling you are right in that dance studio.

All in all, I would say, a beautiful book!.It's the kind of book that stays with you long after you finish reading it, making you think about your own family and the secrets we all carry. Highly recommend it if you enjoy stories about families, dancers, and secrets!

Wow, this book sounds like one of those that leaves your heart in a fist but in the best possible way! 💔✨ I love how you describe the mix between the ballet world (in all its intensity) and family secrets that hurt worse than a new pointe shoe. The AIDS crisis thing as a backdrop must add a layer of good raw historical depth. Great review!

Thankyou so much! 🤍
