From Cleopatra to Casanova, the book 'The Art of Seduction' by Robert Greene is a In-depth guide to persuasion and charm. The author uses Cleopatra and Casanova as a basis for understanding effective charm. We all know of Cleopatra, the Egyptian enchantress who used her beauty from bath of milk, and charm to manipulate powerful men like Julius Caesar in their time. And then there's Casanova, the master of seduction who used his charisma and social skills to win over girls. The term 'Casanova heart' is often used in teenage books now-a-days.

The book intended not to manipulate people but to understand more the power of persuasion in artistic ways.

Before I give the book a review, I will share with you my own story and my thoughts on the book itself.

I am not the original owner of the book 'The Art of Seduction' by Robert Greene. It was left behind in the college dormitory when I was a freshman, and on the cover it says "Personal property of Dennis" and "Purchased at SM North in May 2009". Whether it was intentional or not, the book sat there for years and I was not initially interested in it. I simply used it as a display item and had no intention of reading it.

Until one day, the professor who was in charge of the dormitory came to inspect the rooms. As he was checking for any hidden items, he saw the book 'The Art of Seduction' on my shelf. He asked me, "Are you reading this book?" I was ashamed to admit that I had not been reading it, but I simply used it as a decoration in my room. However, I didn't want to seem uninterested in the book, so I told him, "Yes, I am reading it." From that moment on, I felt a sense of obligation to actually start reading it and engage with its content, lol.

He left my room with a smirk on his lips, and that was when my curiosity was piqued. I finally decided to start reading the book and see what it was all about.

So also been aged when I read the book.

In the book; Greene stated different type of seducers and well explained what are they.

  • The Sire
  • The Rake
  • The Ideal Lover
  • The Dandy
  • The Natural
  • The Coquette
  • The Charmer
  • The Charismatic
  • The Star

Seducers don’t reveal what kind of seducer are they so mine will be secrets too.

This page of the book that I bookmarked discussed how a simple look or gaze can convey a great deal of meaning, but it is also easily deniable and difficult to quote directly for facial expression still something. The book focuses on the role of non-verbal communication in the art of seduction, and this concept became one of my favorites. As a person who is often smiles also reserved and serious most of the time, I rarely make eye contact and open my lips for smile. However, after reading the book, I realized that the key to effective persuasion and seduction is not just about appearance and how I behave on my look, but about using the right techniques.

Now I get the point why the teacher have that expression in his smiles when he first seen the book, maybe he also have the same copy like mine. I wont use it for girls, but for my career, that’s all haha.

Not to give away too much, but "The Art of Seduction" is not only about flirtation and charm, but it also provides a comprehensive guide on professional relationships between each other. The book explains how to handle different types of people, understand their attitudes, and build trust with them. Whether you want to win them over for a contract or simply be friends, the book guides you through psychological prospecting and dealing with people in a professional manner.

This is my first time reviewing a book here, and I hope I did it right! I also love reading books and look forward to reviewing more in the future. Thank you for reading.

Note: This is a book review, some words, concepts, and phrases are familiar within the book. I hope you understand

This is a great review. I had the e-copy of the book but never really took time to read it. Good you aren't thinking of using the techniques on girls 😅 Although it ain't prohibited, !LOLZ

My girlfriend left me because of my obsession with storytelling.
I wonder how the next chapter in my life will go.
