Espero que al igual que yo, hayan disfrutado mucho sus vacaciones decembrinas, pues de verdad necesitaba relajarme un poco luego de tanto ajetreo universitario. En estás vacaciones tuve la oportunidad de retomar mis hábitos de lectura y aproveché la oportunidad para releer una de esas historias que se te graban en el corazón: Deseo concedido, escrito por megan maxwell. Así que hoy haré está reseña, con ganas de que ustedes disfruten un poco junto a mi de lo linda que es esta historia.

I hope that, like me, you have enjoyed your december vacations, because I really needed to relax a bit after so much university hustle and bustle. During these vacations I had the opportunity to resume my reading habits and I took the opportunity to reread one of those stories that are engraved in your heart: Wish Granted, written by Megan Maxwell. So today I will do this review, wanting you to enjoy a little with me of how beautiful this story is.

Mi reseña | My review:

Deseo concedido, es el primer libro de una saga que sigue creciendo, titulada: Guerreras Maxwell, destaco qué toda esta saga está ambientada en la Escocia medieval, así que prepárense para ello. Está historia una de esas que yo tengo cerquita de mi corazón, no sé si es por el tiempo que llevo conociendola o por lo identificada que me siento a Megan, la protagonista de esta novela, por su carácter, su fuerza, sus ganas de defender a los suyos y a quienes lo necesitan, su valentía, incluso su soledad al ser quien protege a sus hermano, pero sin nadie que la proteja; para ella es tan difícil dejarse cuidar, que es extremadamente tierno cuando deja que lo hagan. Pero si, cómo pueden notar, Megan, a mi parecer, es uno de esos personajes a los que quieres con todo tu corazoncito de lector, porque sabes marca la diferencia y lo hace de una forma muy especial.

Wish granted, is the first book of a saga that continues to grow, entitled: Maxwell Warriors, I emphasize that all this saga is set in medieval Scotland, so get ready for it. This story is one of those that I have close to my heart, I don't know if it's because of the time I've been knowing her or because of how identified I feel with Megan, the protagonist of this novel, for her character, her strength, her desire to defend her own and those who need it, her bravery, even her loneliness to be the one who protects her brother, but without anyone to protect her; it is so difficult for her to let herself be taken care of, that it is extremely tender when she lets them do it. But yes, as you can tell, Megan, in my opinion, is one of those characters that you love with all your little heart as a reader, because you know she makes a difference and she does it in a very special way.

Cómo pudieron leer en la sinopsis, Megan tiene dos hermanos, Shelma y Zack, a quienes nuestra protagonista ama con todo su corazón y protege como una verdadera guerrera. Los 3 hermanos, viven con su abuelo en un pueblo de Escocia luego de perder a sus padres en situaciones extrañas. Y justo en ese pueblo es donde conoce a Duncan, el bravo guerrero y protagonista de la novela, quien queda impresionado con el arrojo de Megan, y que que se irá enamorando poco a poco de ella.

As you could read in the synopsis, Megan has two siblings, Shelma and Zack, whom our protagonist loves with all her heart and protects as a true warrior. The 3 siblings live with their grandfather in a village in Scotland after losing their parents in strange situations. And it is in that village where she meets Duncan, the brave warrior and protagonist of the novel, who is impressed with Megan's courage, and who will gradually fall in love with her.

Obviamente en esta historia predomina el amor, por eso es una de mis favoritas, pues, cómo ya saben, tengo corazon de pollo. Me encanta el tira y afloja entre los protagonistas, amo como pueden pasar de discusiones fuertes, a quererse con locura, y me encanta aún más cuando entienden que son el uno para el otro, se acomplan y crecen, de verdad es bastante cliché, pero a mí me encantan ese tipo de libros (Lo siento).

Obviously this story is dominated by love, that's why it's one of my favorites, because, as you know, I have a chicken heart. I love the tug of war between the main characters, I love how they can go from strong arguments, to love each other madly, and I love even more when they understand that they are for each other, they get together and grow, it's really quite cliché, but I love that kind of books (I'm sorry).

Otra cosa que me gusta mucho de este libro es como nos toca el machismo de esas épocas, no porque yo esté a favor, sino porque me emociona ver cómo Megan (principalmente) su hermana y otra tanda de mujeres, lo ignoran completamente y deciden sacar a relucir su fuerza, carácter y pasión.

Another thing I really like about this book is how it touches on the machismo of those times, not because I'm in favor of it, but because I'm excited to see how Megan (mainly) her sister and another batch of women, completely ignore it and decide to bring out their strength, character and passion.

Sobre los personajes como tal, creo que me iré primero por Megan (que no se note que es mi favorita) pero de ella creo que lo he dicho todo, le dicen "La impaciente" y créanme que, aunque es mi favorita, hasta a mi me ha estresado muchas veces durante la trama, pero también me hizo llorar cuando se sentía incomprendida o atrapada. Por otro lado Duncan, el lair McRae, solo puedo decirles que la autora le dió una paciencia gigante, porque, siendo otro, mata a Megan comenzando el libro😂, aunque el tampoco es un santo, entonces, digamos que esos dos son tal para cual, y verlos matarse te puede emocionar y estresar un poco al mismo tiempo.

About the characters as such, I think I will go first for Megan (not to be noticed that she is my favorite) but about her I think I have said it all, they call her "The impatient one" and believe me that, although she is my favorite, even to me she stressed me many times during the plot, but she also made me cry when she felt misunderstood or trapped. On the other hand Duncan, the lair McRae, I can only tell you that the author gave him a giant patience, because, being another one, he kills Megan starting the book😂, although he is not a saint either, so, let's say that those two are such and such, and seeing them kill each other can thrill you and stress you a little bit at the same time.

Ahora tenemos a Shelma, la hermana de Megan, quien sinceramente para mí comenzó siendo un personaje bastante interesante pero a medida que avanza la historia, va perdiendo cada vez más la sustancia. Luego tenemos s Zack el hermanito menor, un niño súper travieso, que meterá en más de un problema a todos los que lo rodean, sinceramente a mi parecer, era uno de los mayores peligros de las hermanas Philips, pues con sus ocurrencias pudo haberlos matado a los 3 en más de una ocasión.

Now we have Shelma, Megan's sister, who honestly for me started out as a pretty interesting character but as the story progresses, she loses more and more substance. Then we have Zack the younger brother, a super naughty boy, who will get in more than one problem to all those around him, sincerely in my opinion, was one of the greatest dangers of the Philips sisters, because with his witticisms he could have killed the 3 of them on more than one occasion.

Existen otros personajes en la historia: Gillian, Kieran O'Hara, Niall McRae y Lolach quien será el marido de Shelma. Pero sinceramente de todos ellos solo Kieran y Gillian, se llevan mi atención. El primero por ser un gran amigo, que sinceramente pudo robarme el corazón en alguna que otra oportunidad, y Gillian por su poderío y personalidad, muy característico de una guerrera maxwell.

There are other characters in the story: Gillian, Kieran O'Hara, Niall McRae and Lolach who will be Shelma's husband. But honestly out of all of them only Kieran and Gillian, get my attention. The first for being a great friend, who honestly could steal my heart at some other time, and Gillian for her power and personality, very characteristic of a Maxwell warrior.

Y bueno, está fue mi pequeña reseña sobre "Deseo concedido", una historia llena de romance, pero con peleas, traiciones y mucho más de por medio. Es un libro súper ligero, que te permite salir de ese bloqueo y que tú mente se relaje, vas a disfrutar y reír con el, incluso puede que a veces suspires o se te salga una que otra lagrimita, pero... ¿Sería un buen libro, si no te hace sentir?

And well, this was my little review of "Desire Granted", a story full of romance, but with fights, betrayals and much more in between. It is a super light book, that allows you to get out of that block and your mind to relax, you will enjoy and laugh with it, you may even sigh sometimes or you may get a tear or two, but....
