How Do We Choose The Highlighted Posts?

All of you must be wondering how we picked the authors who get into the highlight. As some of the good curation projects out there, our highlighted authors are also handpicked to ensure that we diversify the content and the recommendations in the highlight. We want this highlight to be a place where people get inspiration, a place to learn something new, and even finding a recommendation.

Hence, throughout the week, the moderators will check the community and manually hand pick the posts. Some factors includes : the post subject, post quality, engagement, personal voice, and general effort.

@khaleesiiBOOK REVIEW// WHY MEN MARRY BITCHESThe whole premise of the book is telling women that good girls come last, at least that was what I understood by reading it.The author focused on the idea that a bitch in this contest wasn’t a cruel or a mean person like we all would presume but a woman who is clear about what she would accept and what she wouldn’t. She further spoke about the characteristic of women that men crave and gave a lot of relationship principles and a few caught my eyes like relationship principle 3 and 50 which says; He doesn’t marry a woman who is perfect, he marries the woman who is interesting. And to encourage the right behavior, state what you want, and then give him the solutions. Show him how he can be your hero. The author also had a lot of comparisons between a good girl and a “bitch" and explained why the bitch always won.
@albuslucimusThe Complete Walker, by Colin FletcherThe book is a well written hybrid between a rucking memoir and an experience-based technical guide. Fletcher talks about various loading weights - for all you crazy ruckers out there, he even gets into carrying heavier loads in one section!I’m typically used to getting comments from hikers about my pack exceeding 20% of my body weight. In this book he has an awesome section on carrying higher weights, and it was awesome for me to read from someone who takes an approach so much like my own. …with that said, that is not the focus of the book and I think it really is a great read for all you practical hikers out there too :)Since the book reads like a memoir, his voice is critical to the overall tone of the book - and this guy brings it. The stories he tells grab your interest and keep your attention, his insights on the vast benefits of solitude in nature are inspiring, and he manages to squeeze in some pretty good humor at the same time!
@gabyr02[ESP//ING] My First Book 2022: A Heart Between You and MeHoly crap, that was a really fun movie. I han never seen Ready Player One. I always liked the idea of virtual reality, but never explored it much. So, when there are movies on the subject, I get excited! This one, slipped by me, I only watched it a couple of days ago!!! I loved the movie so much, when I found out there was a book, I got myself a copy to listen to from my library. As I thought, the book is full of details the movie skipped over. It a lot of fun.
@morey-lezamaMen without women: the challenge of loveThe book Men Without Women is no stranger to Murakami's narrative purpose. The work contains seven stories that have in common the isolation and loneliness that follow the love relationships of men who lose their wives or who have a conflictive relationship, either because of the impossibility of establishing communicative ties or of living with a stormy past that makes it impossible for them to love; or even that, believing to have learned to love, from one moment to another, in an inexplicable way in many cases, the idea of love is interrupted and vanishes.
