I read this one when I was doing vipassana meditation two years ago. It was eerie especially that I read the book under a candle light. To this day it still haunts me- that definitely is a peculiar book. It's also interesting that the story is based on vintage photography that the author found.

Hey, thanks for your thoughts and impressions. Sounds intriguing, I started yesterday late and came to the point when Jakob and his father arrived on the island.
