Announcement
Stay tuned for upcoming contests!
We share again today a finely selected set of book reviews and similar sorts for your consumption. We hope you like the recommendations below!
In today's recommendation, we look at works from @olujay, @wayward-dreams, @faisalhanafih, and @annacarstairs.
Atomic Habits is a self-help book by James Clear that teaches much easier and more truly applicable ways to build good habits and bid bad ones good riddance. The book discusses behavioral change in different ways, such as the effect of identity on developing habits (good or bad), the actual picture of progress and how it works, how habits are formed, and the four laws of behavior change. The four laws are "make it obvious, make it attractive, make it easy, and make it satisfying," all of which are about the cycle of habit formation (cue, craving, response, reward).

The little Book Club we have been running for a year likes to try new things. During the recent May sitting, we did not discuss a novel or short story, as usual, but a rather unique piece of historical non-fiction literature.
This is the first short-story collection by Agatha Christie featuring the character Miss Marple. Miss Marple is an observant old woman who has a very sharp intuition. Her trademark is to link a case with what has happened in her village, namely St. Mary Mead.
This novel was written in 1868, it follows the lives of the March sisters as they grow up and face the challenges of life in the American Civil War era. What catches my attention about this story is that many paint it as a good classic plus I want to see the adaptation featuring Emma Watzon. It has a message of female empowerment and I want to know why it is so beloved by the public.

What is Hive Book Club?
Hive Book Club is a community made by book lovers, for book lovers. A place where the chaotic minds of writers may punch away words from their keyboards as they share their writing adventures. Where passionate book collectors may rummage through their stacks of books to share and review their latest additions. Outside of our regular curation process, we may create contests for our community to participate in, and earn even more from their posts. If you have a certain theme for a future contest you would like to see, let us know! Be sure to check with us frequently on our various social media platforms to avoid missing out!
How Do We Choose The Highlighted Posts?
For those of you curious as to how you may have been chosen or would like to be chosen in the future in one of these compilations: we scan through the community and read the many posts that the community members write. We then select four or five posts that we believe meet certain criteria and are worthy of sharing with the rest of the community. We aim to keep these selections diverse in style, from writing skills or subject matter.
Hence, throughout the week, the moderators will check the community and manually handpick the posts. Some factors include the post subject, post quality, engagement, personal voice, and general effort. If we choose you, or you happen to stumble across these highlights, please do check out the other posts we feature, and contribute to their curation and engagement!
