What strikes me about this book? The theme of caste is very complex, the girl is a five, and is on the side of the scale in which it is much closer to being poor and go hungry and cold, as the plot develops you will like it a little more since she is not a conventional girl who falls in love right away with the prince and wants to win his love, on the contrary she is getting fond of him as she gets to know more of the character, although for my taste from the beginning he has been very superficial, which she never tires of telling him and that's why she is not only the protagonist of the book but also my favorite character, and the theatrical of her little sister at the beginning of the book, the king and queen do not take the figure in this book but much later, they are more filler characters so to speak, but I will talk about them another time.

Que llama mi atención de este libro? El tema de las castas se ve muy complejo, la chica es una cinco, y está del lado de la balanza en la que está mucho más cerca de ser pobre y de pasar hambre y frío, a medida de que se va desarrollando la trama te va gustando un poco más, puesto que ella no es una chica convencional que se enamora de buenas a primeras del príncipe y quiere ganarse su amor, al contrario le va agarrando cariño a medida de que conoce más al personaje, aunque para mí gusto desde el principio el ha sido muy superficial, cosa que ella no cansa de decírselo y por eso que ella además de ser la protagonista del libro es mi personaje favorito, y la teatrera de su hermanita al comienzo del libro, el rey y la reina no toman figura en este libro sino mucho más adelante, son más personajes de relleno por así decirlo, pero de ellos hablaré en otra oportunidad.

Ella lucha siempre por lo que piensa y no deja que nadie le baje la moral a pesar de saber en el nivel en qué se encontraba antes de pisar la selección sin dejar atrás su esencia, podría decir que es algo feminista y se iguala al príncipe siempre que están juntos solo son el y ella, igualdad. A diferencia de Aspen que siempre se menosprecia y se ponía muy por debajo de ella.
A month passes and everything calms down, Maxon and America become more friends and confidants, but America must make a decision, whether to continue or leave, she does not realize it but the jealousy in her being grows little by little the more she gets to know Maxon. The more she longs for his presence the more she realizes the appreciation that is seizing her being, but it's not love, that's what she says. However, the day she finally gets to be with him and wants to see him, her past love who had ended the relationship appears, and to top it all off she doesn't know what defines who she loves and who she doesn't, or both, but she decides to think for herself first, and realizes that it is more possible that she is closer to the crown than she can imagine.
Pasa un mes y todo va calmando las aguas, Maxon y America se hacen más amigos y confidentes, pero America debe tomar una decisión, si seguir o irse, ella no se da cuenta pero los celos en su ser van creciendo poco a poco mientras más conoce a Maxon. Cuando más anhela su presencia se da cuenta del aprecio que va embargando su ser, pero no es amor, eso es lo que ella dice. Sin embargo el día que por fin puede estar con el y que desea verlo aparece su amor del pasado el cual había terminado la relación, y para terminar de rematar eso que sentía no sabe que la define a quien ama y a quien no, o subes a los dos, pero si toma la decisión de pensar por ella primero, y se da cuenta de que es más posible que esté más cerca de la corona de lo que ella misma se puede imaginar.
The part that doesn't convince me of this book, even though I like it a lot is the way Aspen appears, and how naive Maxon is shown, not making guesses at the beginning, they live in the same place, he didn't evaluate his caste even though she herself had told him about him, naive and immature for his convenience, I don't know if it's because of the ages or it really was on purpose to lengthen the plot a bit and make it much more drama (hahaha)
La parte que no me convence de este libro, a pesar de que me gusta mucho es la forma en como aparece Aspen, y lo ingenuo que se muestra Maxon, sin hacer conjeturas al principio, viven en el mismo lugar, no evaluó su casta a pesar de que ella misma le había hablado de él, ingenuos e inmaduros para su conveniencia, no sé si es por la edades o de verdad fue a propósito para alargar un poco la trama y hacerlo mucho más drama (jajaja rimó 🤣)
But undoubtedly despite this small problem (for me) it is still one of my favorite pink books, which by the way have announced on Netflix and on the author's personal Twitter about its adaptation for a movie, after the failure of the pilot for the CW in 2015 is one of the best news that readers have received especially me hehehe this year and I look forward to its premiere, I leave this as a note and I hope you have pleased you as much as me.
Pero sin dudas a pesar de este pequeño problema (para mí) no deja de ser uno de mis libros rosa favoritos, el cual por cierto han anunciado en Netflix y en el Twitter personal de la autora sobre su adaptación para una película, luego de su fracaso del piloto para la CW del 2015 es una de las mejores noticias que han recibido sus lectoras en especial yo jejeje este año y espero con ansias su estreno, esto se los dejo como nota y espero que les haya alegrado tanto como a mí.
