Book Review : China Rich Girlfriend - Kevin Kwan

Its about trilogy novel by Kevin Kwan. The first novel is about Crazy Rich Asian I have read before, a little interested in the style of language used by the author that always makes me carried away in the prose and also like being in a rich person's environment in each novel. This time, I also read the second book by Kevin Kwan, is about China Rich Girlfriend.

Initially I was not interested in continuing this trilogy until finally I found it on a library shelf and it was enough to make me remember the previous novel. Maybe this tells about Rachel, but is a big no. Even I think it's about Kitty Pong. I could be wrong in guessing.

In this second novel, a little spoiler, there is no story about Rachel and Nick, but rather more about revealing the secret behind Rachel's father and there is a little plot twist but I hope you read this novel if you are really interested and curious.

Again, this novel always describes what we cannot describe about real Chinese life. Of course, the lives of rich Chinese people are different from where they live, for example, rich Chinese people who live in China will be very different from those who live in Singapore and America.

In this second novel, there are so many new mysteries that are revealed and it seems like every page always makes you curious. I really like seeing the problems of rich people from their way and point of view, so I say again, this is like a representation that we can't feel but we can judge. But it's good because it's made in a novel and it's very interesting even though it doesn't happen in our lives.

Well, as I said before, China Rich Girlfriend describes a rich woman, you can know who she is if you read this novel and tell all her worries. Trauma, fear, depression that even harms her friends. What we know is that rich people are life goals for everyone, but behind that there are so many things that are beyond our expectations. It can even look sad.

So if I conclude, this novel is really different from the previous novel, where there are additional stories that are more interesting, but unfortunately it seems that people are more interested in the first novel because it has become a film. Even so, I hope you can read this second novel, because there are many new perspectives.

Although in reading the novel that looks very dramatic, the storyline seems ordinary, but I think that is a wrong idea. I even like reading a book that talks about the customs and traditions of a tribe that are interesting to explore.

I haven't read this one but read a lot of reviews on this. Apparently this one is talking about Astrid and I so love her character. I'd be getting this book as one of my light read this year 😄

Another triology added to my list after 'the shiva triology.'💃
