Lost in a book haven

It was a normal Thursday night when Ben and I decided to meet at a coffee shop near his place. Right after work, I headed straight to our meet up place but Ben was still stuck on traffic so I wandered around the streets of the Boulevard. It's been a while since I last visited this place. Some establishments are new, some have vanished, and other buildings just finish its construction.

Suddenly, I passed by this peculiar establishment. It's just a small square meter with a unique aesthetic. At first, I hesitated to enter the shop because I couldn't know if it's a coffee shop or a bookshop. Does this have an entrance fee?

Outside was this table beautifully set up, giving a Parisian vibe.

Finally, I gathered all my courage and enter the shop. Turns out, it's a book shop with a little Cafe inside. Most stores are the opposite, a coffee shop with some books for free reading.

After a few moments of browsing through the shop, the bookshop owner, who is so friendly, approached me. His name is D.

D built this independent bookshop, which sells brand new and second hand books, out of his passion for books. From classics to antiques, he has them all.

To show my support, I ordered a matcha latte drink from him. Surprisingly, it taste delicious and not pricey at all. He said that his menu was curated from a barista. Also, prices of the books can be found on its first page.

I picked the book Lullaby by Lang Leav while I finished sipping my matcha latte. I told Ben to meet me at this small coffee shop instead.

To say the least, I had the best experience. I hope to visit this place again soon.

That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
