Raindrop Poetry

in Hive Book Club3 years ago (edited)

Rain falls on thirsty forest,
Clouds not heavy enough to quench
The summer-long drought.

No more wind.
Loons on the lake.
The trees are still. Silent.

Birdsong clears away
The too-many-voices.
Earth anchors me.

I breathe in
The essence of nature,
And let go the rest.

Pouring now,
The forest rejoices.
Leaves dance in rapture.

I give up
The struggle
In exchange for peace.

Whatever happens, keep singing your song!
Peace @Katrina-Ariel

This came up when I searched loon calls. I grew up 10 miles from Nevis. Your poem did give me some peace as I remember these quite well, I hope it reaches others with similar fashion. Love and hugs and junk. 😜😍🤗🤗

Glad it brought you some peace. 💖🤗💖
